    Hi guys,

I have finally decided to go to the other side and try some grey hat/black hat stuff. I didn't do it before because of some moral objections but a few days ago Google got on my nerve and I thought that enough is enough.

So here is my first attempt at black hat/gray hat seo and results.

I have a client whose video was on page 1 in Google for their main keyword for a while and then could be found among the top 100 results. Video was converting well for them so I decided to try to bring it back to page 1 so here is what I did.

I have had a copy of Scrapebox for 2 years now but have never used it. So I dusted it off, bought a list of auto-approved comment blogs and fired up SB at them.

Some of the posts on these blogs have more than 1000-2000 comments so we are talking spam big time. Anyway, I ended up with a few thousand successfully posted comments and that was it. I didn't try to index them, I though I would do that the next day (today).

I was using random name/anchor text for the blog comments, but I didn't use the term I want the video to rank for - click here, Jordan e.t.c.

So, this morning when I woke up I went straight to Google, typed in the keyword the video was on Page 1 before and ... it wasn't on page 1 :). However, I found it on page 5, which is great considering the fact that it wasn't in top 100 yesterday (I didn't bother going past page 10).

So I just wanted to share my results with you and will keep you posted what's going on with that video - whether it will reach page one or fall into oblivion.

The point is that blog comment spam seems to be working. I don't know if it will be working on your white hat sites (even though I am testing it right now) but it seems to be working on YouTube videos.

I'll be happy to hear your thoughts on that. Have you done something like that before? Can you tell me a better way to do it?

    Cheers?

I just wanted to give you a quick update. As I said above, the video got to page 5 and stayed there for a few days and then couldn't be found among top 100 results.

I decided to do nothing and just wait to see what will happen. And happened it did. This morning the video was on page 3 for the keyword that I am targeting.

Why is that? As I said I used scrapebox to automatically post comments on heavily spammed blogs. My guess is that people who do the same either index these urls or build backlinks to them to give their links more weight.

And because my comments happen to be on the same page I indirectly benefit from their efforts. So, why don't you create a few videos for keywords that you want to rank for and start blasting them with spammy links and see how it will work for you.

Yes, I can say the same. Many of your clients buy the comments for their youtube videos.

This is a big thing !! Youtube has so much domain authority that you can blast your video with blog comments....but you should consider to take a min obl of 50.

This is hard to manage because you have to scan all the pages for their obl before you blast it.

We have a package just for this. Quality comments with max. obl of 50. They are cheap and powerfull for every youtube video.

So you don't use exact keywords and naked urls?

    Cheers

I have had mix results, it used to help but lately seems something has changed and it just gets blown out of the serps. Others might have different results, I stopped doing that and moved on but it could still work sometimes, always best to test.
