After a lot of metropolitan legends about:
"Scrapebox sandbox you", "banned from google for scrapebox" etc.
I decided to start 1 month ago a test:
how a scrapebox blast affect competitors using scrapebox in aggressive mode.

    Results:

    1 month ago:
My site was ranked #8 for a normal and not very competitive niche.
    Competitor site was ranked #3
other rank are from good websites with age too.
I choiced the #3 because had the same age of my domain.
I blast the competitor site for 3 days with 100k backlinks and after pinged too.

after only 2 days the competitor gone away from the first 100 results LOL and was crazy ehehehehhe
but after 13 days, it reappeared and get the #1

the competitor site continuing to be #1 after 20 days.

    my conclusion:
This is magic, this is google ... This is the thought of Spiderbots

ou are free to draw your own conclusions

Well that is definitely a note worthy experiment. Can you give us some numbers as in the domain age, site backlinks, competition for KW, searches for KW etc?

All this experiment shows is that trying to destroy your competition will result in a stronger and higher ranking position for your competitor.

Should of blasted your own site, you may of been ranked #1.

It would be to easy to just blast your competition to the bottom. Never believed it would have neg effects.

now try that on a fresh site with no authority links :p
of course you did him good. he already had trust. a site with trust will gain more trust even from shitty links

even though this specific example proved to be successful (or unsuccessful depending on which side of the SERPs you were on), I wouldn't risk a SB blast on my own site.

I utilize SB for other uses.

Now you just need to apply the same strategy to your own site.

yep, this doesn't work domains younger than 1 year old with no trust..it's instant sandbox.

You should try it again but this time target a site that's only like a month old and doesn't have a lot of backlinks.

Since his site was 3 years old, he already had some authority in the search engines so the comments didn't mess him up at all.

I'd be interested in finding out what would happen if you did that on a newer site.
