    seconded - proxybonanza

try using the free harvested proxies for harvesting search engines so you don't get banhammer frmo the Big G, then use proxyb's paid proxies for commenting

if you don't get any working free harvested proxies, and you're really in desperate need of scraping the search engines, use the pb proxies - they have bandwidth limits, but you can always buy more bandwidth

Why not just use a different company other than PacetFlip?

Their TOS also states they don't allow spamming. Do you know for a fact that they won't ban ScrapeBox users?

    Yes.

I believe the reference to spamming in their TOS is a caveat against email spammers using them.

Interesting - I was wondering about when packetflip added scrapebox, cuz when I first bought their proxies it was NOT listed.

The TOS list of apps says it was last updated in November...hmmm....cheeky monkeys....

Oh and quick edit - yes, I have been using proxybonanza with SB for a bit now and it works fine.

What type/package from Proxy Bonanza? I'll order ScrapeBox today and don't know how many proxies or what type are needed to make the most of it.

    Thanks!

Some people recommend buying private, others seem to do okay with shared.

Odds are your successful posting rate will be higher with private, but even with shared it will be higher than with "free" proxies.

You might want to start with shared, see how it goes, proxyb will always be happy to upgrade you (cuz then they get more of the benjamins too lol). Seriously though, they provide great service IMHO. If you've got the $ go for the private. I've read some people say that 1 private proxy is enough, I prefer to spread the digital wealth across multiple C-classes.

For what it's worth, I started with their shared, 68 IP, 10GB/mo. package. I wanted a lot of IP's because I'm an IP hog and a thanks whore. Oh and paranoid too.

Also remember that with many proxy services your paying for bandwidth costs as well. I have a gregstereo free tip o' the day earlier in this thread about how to maximise use of different proxies to minimize paid proxy bandwidth usage.

    peace,
    gregs.

    bonanza.com is $36.99/month for 5 ips?? That's a bit expensive.. Isn't there a cheaper alternative...?

Is there a software tool to give you hundreds of free proxies?

I agree that does sound expensive. Does anybody know of any other places to get private proxies from???

I'm not sure how much gig scapebox uses, could you give me an estimate of how much gigs i need to do wordpress comment spamming?

for approximately x number of comments translates to what gigs?

    thanks

should i use the ips too for google harvesting?

From what I know, it HIGHLY depends on the blog... since it reads the blog (without pictures unless you check the box) then it depends on the site itself... so loading 1,000 sites without pictures, on average I would say... kinda flying by my pants on this one but a little less than A MB? But if we round it up for easy math purposes that would be a MB then 1024 comments would be a gig.

Although I hope someone like gregstereo, who knows their Scrapebox very well will be able to make a comment on exactly how much data is being processed.

Interesting, I've wondered about this before myself, thanks for prompting me to check it out further. Here's some initial results of testing bandwidth usage with wireshark:

scraping for related keywords, I typed in three keywords (cats, kittens, felines) and then scraped for related keywords:
    48749 bytes (~47kb)

scraping all search engines for sites related to any of the keywords found (I let this run for about an hour before I stopped it, and it found ~70k results):
    113323689 bytes (~108mb)

I'm about to start a comment spree on another niche, I'll post the bandwidth usage of that when it's done.

    peace,
    gregstereo
