Wow this is quite impressive. So what do you guys think?

Can this technology, if implemented on a wider scale, calm our peak oil (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peak_oil) fears?

Destroying a natural, essential part of the world's life-cycle to damage the world itself even further with big industries' irresponsible use of crude oil. Great discovery.

For the money and energy wasted in converting algae to oil it is not productive at all.

I agree with you 100%...they've got enough money and power unfortunately to do whatever they want really. They'll bury this thing asap. I'm so tired of these companies being able to manipulate the market/people so easily, but that's a whole different topic lol

How are we going to run out when we can massively produce it?

Great news. Alternately if we had more efficient engines, we could less pollute the weather. There is hope, but they need funding to produce it in a mass scale. Look at this too!

1 kg of raw chlorella cost 5-6$ kilo wholesale. For turn it into a product that is worth 0.7$ liter max, you should be crazy or.... scamming for investment found.

It's a step forward. Overtime we always find ways to make things more efficient, productive, time and cost effective.

Here's another interesting video you might want to watch:

I think there are WAAAAAY better alternatives to oil or even "green energy".

Developing these alternatives is one of my many goals.

In other news, two scientists found dead at the bottom of a dumpster truck.
    No witnesses were found.
    ...

This stuff gets buried every time. Think of what the consequences would be to oil companies.
Just because they wear a suit to work doesn't mean they aren't capable of unspeakable things.

    Society is messed up.
And anyone trying to uncover it immediately gets called a "nutjob" and a "conspiracy theorist"...

I'm no environmentalist, but I know they aren't wanted either:

Among the documents lodged with the New York court was a 1994 letter from Shell in which it agreed to pay a unit of the Nigerian army for services rendered. The unit had retrieved one of the company's fire trucks from the village of Korokoro - an action that according to reports at the time left one Ogoni man dead and two wounded. Shell wrote it was making the payment "as a show of gratitude and motivation for a sustained favourable disposition in future assignments".

It happens all right in front of us.

Using the oceans algae to create crude oil with would have a devastating, catastrophic and irreversible affect on the worlds eco-system.

    Bad idea!

So instead of investing in clean energy we have found a way to destroy the planet faster.

    GG world.

Big oil will evolve when it's ready. Step back and look at what ultimately depends on crude.
There's a lot of futuristic windmils across Texas. When they fought to put them up they badazzled Texans that their electric bill would be cut in half. Now, 80% of them can't milk a cows tit but they are fun to watch burn up.

    Here's a little story
