Some Indian called my house up posing as Microsoft worker. He tells me that they are receiving errors and viruses from my computer....instantly I know he's a scammer.

So he first tells me to run eventvwr (event viewer) and I immediately tell him I am running Linux :D

... He immediately hangs up haha!

I've had that a few times via an indian caller.

Newest one is that my mum has sold her other house and that he needs us to sign legal documents to have the money transferred.

Bit strange because my dad lives in one and my mum in the other haha

I was reading there was another scam by Indians at the moment.

They are posing as Police Officers telling you that you owe all kinds of money and when you deny it - they are telling you to sign up with credit checking services at this site.

Alot of people saying they are abit suspicious due to the horrific English accents - but still like anything there are always people who fall for everything.

and I forgot to mention this part

apparently they are getting the lists from anyone who ever tried to sign up for a payday loan.

anyway - like always best not even to answer your phone these days if you don't know the number calling you.

guy calls my neighbor and says his grandson been arrested in a foreign
country on drug charges and needs cashed wired to bail him out.

Guy overseas has some ahole in the background saying "grandpa I need your help" so this old guy goes down to the grocery store with wallet in hand and goes to the service window but lady catches the scam right there and tells him so.

The strange thing his grandson has been busted for drugs and shit so gramps thought it was real.

    Pretty scary
