This was business conducted outside of BHW, but I was recommended his services from a BHW member, so I think it's helpful to post here. Hopefully it will also appear on Google.

Basically, he scammed a friend of mine and me. He's offering journalist links on top publications and after sending money on Oct 30th, the last I heard from him was Nov 14th. Being almost 2 weeks down the road, I'm going to assume the sucker took my money and ran. I paid through PayPal, so hopefully I'll win the chargeback.

Anyways, just a heads up.

Interesting to know who is this BHW member who recommended you this sucker.

It was a friend of mine and I can't really blame it on him. He also lost money. I've been doing this for a while and it seemed like a legit deal.

Things are always shady when the name on the PayPal is different from the on one on the Skype.

Anyway,I hope you get your money back.

Who chose the color scheme for that godforsaken website, the Miami Dolphins?

EDIT: I also enjoy how he ripped his header from the first Google Image result for Public Relations...

this is what that prick msg me today... ahhh man this makes WF look really bad... i was scammed also...

Also guys, if you all came into contact with the guy on WF, the least you can do is post in that thread to get the guy banned and to stop other people getting scammed.

I posted it in the original post already.

It might help if the BHW member came to the thread and gives some input because the only outright promotion by this guy seems to be that WF thread. Yet it appears several BHW members have been scammed. How did they make contact with the scammer? Was it just through the WF thread? Or is somebody on BHW promoting the scammer to other members?

Found another suspicious one.

Has an old thread on WF, but won't provide any sort of validation or credentials. Buyer beware.

Same thing happened to me. Goes by the skype id mattbakerp

One of the so called "editors" that contacted me was skype id "ryanmiller4531"

Funny thing is, "Ryan" originally contacted me as an editor for tech.co, and after "Matt" scammed me, he messaged me from the "Ryan" account selling links to high ranking news sites. Looks like he forgot that he already scammed me and used a secondary account to try to do it again.

He robbed me of over $800. I'm the idiot for trusting him and paypal'ing it all at once. Good news is that he didn't even dispute my paypal dispute and I got a full refund. I hope you all have the same luck getting your money back.

He used "jmattvisions" from his g-mail account as is his paypal account. Hopefully they flag it as a scammer account.

Block all his scamming acts and try to show fiverr customer service about this, as Fiverr always side sellers no matter what.

Just a question, but how does he or any other legit person is able to get articles or links in editor post on those top websites such as NY Times, Huffington and USA that you can't do? Are they actual hired by them as editors or what?

Yea man I too am wondering...some insights would be appreciated!

Lol at doing business on WF.

Sucks losing money though. Being scammed is one of the worst feelings in the world.

The only way to go on is to warn others about it so it doesn't happen to you.

Also, one thing that always helps me is the phrase "It's not about me"

Meaning it wasn't anything personal. They are obviously in such a bad boat either mentally or physically or whatever, that they scammed you.

Feel sorry for those people and move on.

Got me last night. Offered me a mashable link for 100.00 for a good review on his wickedfire thread. Like a dummy i took it.

Got a dispute going now. 100.00 isn't alot, but i hate being scammed.

Now using the PayPal email of [email protected]
