I put a post up asking for some software creation awhile back. I was contacted by a few people and decided to go with Matt123 for 1 of the 2 needed projects. I eventually showed him what else I needed and he said that he would charge 1/2 of what the other guy wanted ($1000) so I decided to go with him. Well, the first software came out and it was not really like what I wanted, and the next project (another project I asked and paid for) was never transferred to my host. I also had him create a ROM site in which he asked for a laptop instead of $500 cash, which was cheaper. So he created the web page, but never deleivered the files.

We then all of a sudden got into a big project together that really just flopped. I really needed the money so I was going to work with him on a project to get started. So nothing really happened and my paypal account was screwed up because he was shady to people. Supposedly his account was also screwed up (prior) because paypal messed up and froze his account, so I had to send WU to him for some other payments (dumbest mistake I've ever made). So being the nice (extremely dumb/trusting) guy I was I also sent him some money so he could buy medications and other things he needed. He promised all of this money in return. In fact he promised double the money.

Now this all went on and neither project was ever finished. I was in for about $2,000 with him from all of my expenses and I told him that I had enough and I gave him until this past Sunday to finish my project. I first got in contact with him in early March for this project to give you an idea of this time scale. So, Sunday I warned him that I would get in touch with my lawyer (long line of lawyers in my family) if he did not finish my project or give me my money back, he said OK he can do it. So Sunday he says he is finished and will give me the files on Monday and he is writing a tutorial right now on how to set everything up for me. So Monday we talk back in forth and he says at 9pm he is at the gym and on his way home to give me my project. That is the last I hear from him. I gave him a window to contact me and I then sent him my unoffical offer before I had a Lawyer's Letter drafted up to be sent out soon. From then I have not seen or heard from him. I have done checks around and I connected his name with the one of Dustest05, who is banned on here.

I have talked to my legal experts on this and they seem very confident in my case. I don't want to talk too much into detail about this, unless a Mod wants to contact me.

Also I have all of his information. Name and nick names, IM info, address, emails, paypal info, etc. I won't post it on here unless a Mod gives the OK. I would like to post it on here so everyone knows not to run into this guy when he creates another name on here.

I'm way too trusting of a person and being a smart guy I was extremely gullible and trusting of someone like this. I hope someone on here sees this post and learns from my idiotic mistake. I should have been scammed because of how poorly I handled this and it amazes me how lightly I took this.

I'm a college student with people to support so it amazes me sometimes how someone can be so low and completely careless of others, but I did gain something and that was to be smarter when hiring people online.

Ya, I even sent a message telling the guy that I would send him an offer for half of what I had given him and I wouldn't pursue any legal action. I guess he figures it's better to lose all of it and then some rather than keep half of it. Just a $2k lesson I had to learn.

Well I hope it will. I'm not paying for them so it's a no loss situation in that category.

Thats too bad to Hear Something like this!

I wonder how easily you trusted him. No Probs. You got his info anyway. Be Assured that your Money will come back to you Soon. He can Run but he can't hide!

Well, Am also a freelancer selling services online and am doing for past 4+ Yrs. You should be careful while buying projects and its safe to drop the money in installments when you see the project is actually happening out there.

Its Internet! There is no such thing as trust when it comes to $$$!

I wish all you persons to follow the win-win Strategy. Its Biz!

I trusted him way too easily. I was very stupid on how I handled it, because I'm just a nice guy and help people out. I should have never sent him WU after his paypal supposedly got shut down after I sent the first half of the payment, nor send him a laptop in exchange for payment.

All in all though, I'm not someone that will take this lightly because of the connections that I have. Hiring a PI has also been thrown around in order to get more information for this case. Beyond that I don't want to say too much, especially on a forum. But, $2k is too much money to just not care about. I have tuition payments, rent, and people to support as well.

bro i pray that you get your money back. But like many have said paying in installments is the best thing you can do. Keep your head up and know that The world is round so its only a matter of time before it catches up with him.

Man I feel bad, I hope you can get our money back. I guess you have to be more careful people sometimes are not who they pretend to be. The world is crazy.
