Comments about people getting scammed from buying sites on flippa are growing and growing every day. Nowadays, scammers are faking their flippa review ratings and paypal earnings so easily and selling these scam sites *made $1200 in 10 days!!* yet are offering to sell it for $2,000. People get tricked into believing it by seeing the fake paypal payments and fake rating reviews.

I'm sick of seeing them and I think we should help people from getting scammed out of their own money. I have already started commenting on a few of the listings warning people that they are scams but I can only do so much.

We as a community should make people more aware of these scams by posting on them and warning people and stopping these scammers. I understand that some of you may think people deserve that for being so stupid to buy such a site but it's not right.

I am asking BHW to help stop these types of scams, chime in with a comment or two on similar scam listings, or offer suggestions on how to stop this. Black Hat SEO is one thing, but deliberately scamming individuals from their hard earned money is another.

PS1: No I did not get scammed so please don't assume I did.
PS2: Mods if this is in the wrong section please feel free to move it.

Yes, here are some who blatantly lie to potential buyers by editing screenshots, faking traffic and making exagerrated claims on revenue. The best thing to do before purchasing a site on Flippa is to do your Due Dliigance, research the seller and most importantly, do a little research on the actual site it'self. Don't just be "Bidding Happy", do your research and in the end, that will be your best investment.

I've asked in two separate threads about a vendor selling sites that use paid traffic to drive add revenue, got no helpfull response about it. I'm a newbie so don't know myself but I expect its totally against policy. the guy is selling multiple clone sites using that model every single day.

If it is against rules then thats yet another scam, seems like most sales on there are.

Some? I would say more than 50% of the sites sold on Flippa nowadays are a complete scam. There should be notices on the front page or something done by Flippa to try and prevent this from happening but it continues to happen more and more. People are getting ripped off, losing thousands of money on things they think will bring them and their families passive incomes by establishing a reputable business but all they are getting is a complete sham.

I doubt Flippa would care. They only care about getting their listing fee.

Yes, that is very wrong and I feel bad for anyone that falls for one of those scam sites.

it's a shame but life moves on and those people just have to learn from their mistakes...

I dont think so. If a local newspaper strikes with news on how Flippa is becoming unreliable, Flippa will suffer a lot. However Flippa needs to provide a base tutorial to buyer on how to verify everything promised by the seller. May be a Good Video Tutorial will work.

I don't know why BHW doesn't have their own sub-forum for sales of sites. Could bring the forum tons of revenue and would provide many a huge alternative to flippa.

The harsh reality is that the Flippa staff are aware of all the site activities and as they sit back and let it happen, how can one expect a third party to be able to do anything about these dubious practices!

Yes I would agree with you that there quite a few sellers that are selling sites that aren't even worth the $19 to list it. With that said, I think we've found ourselves in a time of need for a new online market place where sellers and buyers (But mostly for buyers) can invest in legitimate sites from reputable sellers. I think I have a new objective on the to do list. It would take a collaborated effort, who wants to get on board with me?

Maybe we could start a dedicated website or forum for this in order to prevent people from getting scammed.

Sad to recognize this, but its True, Flippa doesnt care at all about the Scams and Scamers from their site, they care only about their Listing and Final FEE/Revenue, That's it :)
BTW, i saw a few days ago, a guy was Selling a totally new site about... Just take a look at his listing, and make SURE YOUR READ HIS DESCRIPTION: https://flippa.com/2758051-200-avg-adsense-per-day-all-organic-traffic-video-proof

Hey, mate, if you are one of BHW members, i would like to say that you are an I D I O T !!! :)

I posted a simple question about his Revenue and Traffic... He just Deleted my Question !...

So, that's what i wanna say, i think Flippa moders needs to change option to DELETE comments by Seller, it will be better if Seller can just Report the comment and a moder to Delete it... cause right now we see only comments from Fake accounts or Seller friends who are trying to create a fake interest about the listing....

BTW, read all the comments on listing i posted here, and you'll see what im talking about...

And of course, in my opinion, FLIPPA Listing FEE are too HIGH !!! SHAME FLIPPA !!!

How do these sellers get som many Uniates to show in the Compete rankings and so many keywords to show up in the SEM Rush rankings so quickly? I don't understand that part but it too bad that gullible people are just looking at the numbers instead of figuring out of those numbers are credible.
