Placed in the lounge as wasn't really sure where to place.

Has anyone here (thought id ask) stepped back from your business and put someone else in charge in order to scale and grow it to the next step and beyond?

If so how did you cope and decide was the "answer" in front of you or just came to you or what?

I'm on the verge of hitting the next step of growth but going beyond that I'm not sure I'm the right person for it - been doing loads of reflection and I think it might be the better move... I still very much love what I do and want the business to keep on going just going to the "next level" I don't think I'm the person for it.. dunno hard to explain.

Finding things to read online is littered with guru bullshit as well which don't help.

i would say you should go for it since you believe someone can manage and grow your business batter than you.....don't care about your position care about your baby(business)
1 question:
Do you have a major share of your business??

I'll be honest, I'm not really sure what you're asking.

Are you talking about hiring a VA to do repetitive jobs, to allow you more time to move on and do other more complex tasks?

You should read Microsoft history. They tell exactly how they used to hire to achieve this.

Yes I am majority share holder. If that is the question.

No this isn't about hiring a VA.. I have hard enough time employing people now this is more a case of possible re-structuring the business and take someone on to lead the rains and manage the day to day running like a CEO I guess.. In order to move the business to the next level and take it to a place where maybe I can not.

My niche is over 20 billion as a industry worth. Leaders in that are doing anything 15-30m (which is nothing compared to some industries I know) I'm aiming to beat them...

Thanks.

When i wanted to step back I sold a % of a business to vc's and just said i was happy for them to bring in a senior management team. No hassle and a chunk of cash. Trying to sort it yourself will be more stressful then running the business.
