So I was forwarded this video by the sb support team: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yzWukXbwGcY regarding crashdump logger.

Now I had presumed when you reload SB that it auto loads what files you had to still post to into the blogs list. This video however says you have to do a compare manually to get them. Im presmunig the video is old and that hadnt yet been a feature in the logger?

My origianl query was that in the list of crashdump logger reports it only has one file for each log submitted, master etc. Now if I've done multiple blasts from that same instance then it just adds the new blast to the old list of reports rather than wiping the old ones or making new ones. If this is the case how do you know that sb is logging only the most recent blast when you reload sb?

Also since I am scraping for AA blogs and it keeps crashing is it a better idea to delete these each time, rather than going through the whole list in linkcheck including old blasts, to ensure I only have the most recent results since Ill be wanting to do linkchecks for new aa blogs?

The crashdump logger is shit. Yes you have to manually compare them by loading the master and then importing/comparing on a URL level to those which have already been blasted (the smaller file, but NOT the submitted file as that is the smallest one, way too small). I run the latest SB and I have to do that. Whatever they say there is no way the logger can be magical and auto resume where it left off, in its current state.

Just in case you're not already doing this, it will save you 95% of crashes if you delete all URLs longer than 150 characters and then save that slightly shorter list as your new list. Most of SB crashes are because of long URLs would you believe it.

That and running too much shit at the same time. On my 1gb VPS I have 100 thread xrumer, 500 thread hrefer and 50 thread SB running. SB ran for a few hours then crashed. Botmaster's programs are stable as. The best way by far is to avoid all this shit by avoiding the crashing in the first place. The minute you start to fuck around with the crashdump logger and trying to make it make sense, restarting SB every time, you are just wasting more time.

Do you mean you are running multiple instances of SB that are added to the logger? Wouldn't it output the crashdump files for each instance of SB in their respective folders? I assume you are naming your instances of SB e.g. SB1, SB2 etc.

Finally, Penguin has put the second nail in the coffin for AA SB blasts (the first being nofollow a long time ago). Are you sure you don't want to be moving away from that and finding different sources of links?

so your saying main culprit is long ursl? how do i get rid of them? notepad ++ i guess? if so what do i put in it?

lol you cant resist comparing it to xrumer once agian but ye it fucking sucks in terms of crashes compared to rumer.

I actually think its the malware sites that cause the crashing with the ;access violation' errors.

Takes fuckign ages to go thru lists with the filter tho but i guess ill leave them overnight etc.

It works a charm bro check it out -- stops 95% of crashes thank me later ha ha

It was the thorn in my side too, I couldn't use SB for more than a couple hours without it crashing, it was basically unusable. And the developers didn't give a crap. A guy posted a thread saying it was long URLs here, he originally gave a PERL script I think to reduce lines longer than X characters and it worked so well that the SB guys put it in an update, so that option is relatively new. But the devs should have seen the reason for all the crashing not a random dude from BHW.

Yup, thanks for this tip I tried it right after being told about the button and didnt get a crash on the remaining list...where as it was crashing every 5 min before. Ill want to do a few more runs to say it was that conclusively but seems very promising :)
