Saw something fall from the sky!

Now I don't believe in the whole tint foil hat stuff about UFOs and such, I'm sure something out there exists, but this was weird! Maybe someone has an explanation for this...

Imagine a firework... But instead of going up, it was coming down, color of it was yellow/orange-ish, and I don't know, it looked like the size of an orange, it followed by a "tail", and a piece of it broke off, then another piece, and finallyy the third pieace "evaporated" or something.

Not sure about the size since I can't tell how far it was...

Meteor shower? But then why only one and not many?
Fireworks? Againn why not many? Or any sounds?

We call those falling stars here. Which is what idarine said, just meteoroid pieces.
