Problem :-
Many people complains about the paypal holding their funds or prohibiting them to use some of its features for a time period.

Many new Dropshippers or Ecommerce owners are facing this problem. Because of this we sometimes think of quitting the Dropshipping or choosing a new payment method that unfortunately charges 2 times more fees than paypal.

Paypal does have a reason for all these restrictions mainly because of many online Fraudlents that have occured and staked PayPal's reputation over having trustful transactions.

In order to save its reputation and keep things smooth, PayPal always hold money from the new accounts because he doesn't trust them and its their risk policy.

Solution - You should nourish your paypal before setting up it as your payment provider on a new ecommerce store.

By nourish I mean to maintain a flow of transaction in your paypal account by using it as a payout method with some big amd trusted payment providers websites like Fiverr, Gumroad and ejunkie that use their own gateways for receiving payments. They take all the risk on their own, and pays you out when eveything is cleared so you will not be questioned for the service you provided there.

This way your paypal account will be nourished and would have some good account health for PayPal to trust you
That's really a great idea - have you tried it

It's not guaranteed, but makes sense.
I had a friend that didn't use PayPal much and when he opened an online store, there was a 30 day hold of the funds and still continues after 2 years. While I had received payments before on my PP and there were no restrictions whatsoever for me.

It can help but not always guaranteed. Paypal has complex algorithm which decides the outcome of the account based on numerous factors. So it depends upon account to account.
do you provide accounts that can survive this?

Doesn't matter the age of your account or if it's fully verified.

Speaking from experience? Haha

Yeah, a few years back when they put a hold on ours 2 days after we opened registration for a 3 day conference and we had over £80k went in within the first 24 hours, then about another £6k the next day.

Since then we use Worldpay or bank transfers for delegates for events.

WHAT A PAIN... Usually when they hold the money. Do they really release it after the period?

Yeah. They claimed it was to prevent the event being cancelled or not being held and said they'd release it after the conference. Sounds fine but when you are booking for 16 months in advance, kinda screws you up.

It's something we should never disclose...

How do we mask it though?

I don't think ejunkie uses its own gateway.
