I own a few sites in a very saturated real-estate related keyword that I need to do something with (business opportunity, but relies on me being able to SEO these sites). Any tips for competing in a market that already has a lot of big players? The domains I own are formatted:
    <area><keyword>.info and .com.
I don't necessarily need to be #1 on Google for these search terms, but on the front page would be ideal.

Did you take a look at the local keywords and their top rankers?

If you say it is that saturated, you will have to wait long to get a spot on the first page.

Getting to the front page takes a bit time. I think every market on the internet is saturated hence thats why we do SEO. Me being me would ask the local estate agents want to play and advertise there property's for a cut. think out the box

Make sure you have the Google places tied up and go after some high PR links. If you are short on time and know your keywords, maybe consider outsourcing the link building process.
