you know.. i second this. what if you backlinked it, before you even hosted it or even bought it ?What about backlinking BEFORE your website is indexed and ranked? By the time you get indexed (I know you guys can do it in a day or so) and the backlinks start to get indexed then you will have hit the ground running ?? Or is it a waste of energy throwing backlinks before the site is live?

you know what.. im actually looking at a certain domain name now. so im gonna try it and report back here. maybe a weekNot a bad idea...what I IMAGINE would happen would be the same thing as when you buy an expired domain...all previous links/link juice/authority are "nulled" and you start at ground zero.
I would think the same would happen in this instance...but I've never tried it so I don't know. I guess it's worth a try.
It's official my Young Jeezy website got sandboxed because it hasn't returned to its rankings for more than 5 days now.
It has over 17,000 backlinks and less than 1 month old.
So we'll see how long it takes to get out of the sandbox, and what ranking it will get.
to be honest. im not sure, i have heard some people getting out of it in a a few days, and then i have heard it takes months. but then again, this is an experiment to see if the sandbox even existHow long is a site in the sandbox on average?
