Sandboxed ?

hi all...

Ok something is strange about my last weeks project.

I set up a genbucks template, redone the gfx, 70% unique content, main kw in the domain etc. etc.

Used senuke for bookmarking and things went ok. In a day my site entered in the middle of page 3 of G of the 500000 results and got some 75/100 uniques a day for starters. Made a few sales so everything was going according to the plan.

Today i checked G for my main kw and i dropped from the 3rd page to page #5.

Stupid thing is that my main url is not 2b found again only myurl.com/home.php instead of www.myurl.com.

So there is def something going on. Now i know that G is not fan of genbucks but i assumed that was the duplicate content, template thing.

Is this just a flux or did G just pulled my pants down to get started to f*ck me up the *ss?

Any good program to check if you are sandboxed for sure?

thanks

There is no know program to check for sandboxing. There can be a lot of flux for new sites. You'll have to see what's up after 30 days to make any kind of conclusions.

Hi Java,

Thnx for the reply.

Yeah i know what you mean but time is money doin IM ofcourse.

Just for the fact, checking if you are f*cked is quite simple ofcourse, i know, but i just wondered that IF im f*cked why my /home.php still can be found.

Greetings

Ive had this happen to one of my whitehat sites a few times. I've given up with it now to be honest, you can get more traffic through social networking and auto-friend adders.

Stupid thing is that my main url is not 2b found again only myurl.com/home.php instead of http://www.myurl.com.

are you redirecting your traffic from myurl.com to http://www.myurl.com? having a mix of both is not good for search engine as they treat it as 2 different url.

Yeah its odd... Or maybe im missing something ;)

Sure there are many ways to get traffic but this was kinda my GB test with G. Think ill go ahead with making some blogger blogs with a ad to this site and doing a nofollow in them so if a blog gets screwed i don't have a penalty to my project for beeing linked from a boxed site. Although i THINK how i can avoid it this way.

Hi demonfanclub,

Well in fact the site never showed up at G with www.mysite.com and straight as mysite.com.

That has to do with the fact i at first used wp for it and i did not entered www. at my wp panel straight away at the url configs. So it was indexed at first by G as a wp site without the www.

No im not redirecting, but maybe it will happen now ' behind the scene '

hmm... a quick way to test is to access your website with www. if it redirects to mysite.com, then it will be correct. :)

but to maintain high in rank, you have to constantly update content of your website. and bookmark + ping them so that googlebot will come back for a revisit.

cos you are not the only person pushing the same keyword using the same mechanism ;)

well that works ofcourse so thats not the problem. I know about the fresh content etc. but its a static site so i was planning to do a blog for it on a subdomain of the site.

Filling up that blog trough caff content and do some good rewriting on it so it will stick around.

I dont want to spend time on it if the site is going to b f*cked as i want stricktly organic search traffic so i need G on this one.

If its boxed well yeah then we will setup some nice things trough xrumer as its from the G search anyway.

might be google screwing it with an update check it when it next updates if it goes down you need some serious help ask google support

I must say that yesterday i changed one word in top of the content on the site and added that word to my keyword tag, maybe that has to do something with it as i can remember when i was doing some serious $ with websites a few years ago G did not liked it when you were changing stuff in the metas when once set on G.

Ofcourse a lot changed since then with the methods etc.

Ok, well in the meantime i found out more on this domain.

It dropped from page 3 to page 9 but it is still indexed in google. and sure, and my uniques dropped to *haha*...

Another thing is this.

At first i set up wordpress on this domain and a few days later while the website was still in the process of building i changed it to a regular html php site.

When i go to google and type in my domain name i get this:

bhwgfx.jpg

Any thoughts how i can redo this so the /index has also the same meta's so it can be crawled properly???

thanks in advance guys

Should be able to go to Webmaster tools and resubmit your sitemap. Not entirely sure that that will guarantee you'll get re-crawled until G's next schedule appearance.

In order to get you back to P1, have you tried writing a keyword rich article and submitting to Digg?

Hi isritter!

Thanks dude.

Well thats a good idea, but i did a nofollow for the bots as i did not wanted G to catch up with stuff like the privacy pages etc. as i did not rewrite those accept for the name of the site and url... as this was for me a project to get stricktly organic traffic trough G. So i do not have a sitemap on this site for deindexing, because of the duplicate content of the privacy pages.

I was thinking about to create a blog on a subdomain for this one to do your digg idea.
