For a month I was in spot 200 - 80. I'm now not in the top 1,000 results for my keyword... lmao. So I guess I got it sandboxed. So I should keep building backlinks? I checked to make sure it's not deindexed and it's not.

Keep building links,be agresive in your link-building for like 2-3 months and you will rank in first page depending on the KW competition. That is 100%

Really? Is that because Google will think that my site's really as popular as all the links it's getting?

So far I've done blog comments, forum profiles, blog posts, and social bookmarks, is that enough?

Maybe you were a bit too aggressive. Keep it to 20 high PR backlinks per day.

Congratulations on your sandbox now keep up your link velocity. If you were pinging 500 links a day, keep doing that consistently. You will come back stronger.

I am currently at position 25 for a niche. I started somewhere outside the top 500, then I jumped to 80 then 30 then sandbox(kept pinging my links) then 80 again and now 25.

The only experience I have with 'sandboxing' is once when I blasted a squidoo tier page alot with SB and that got deindexed.

I forgot all about it then realized a cpl months later it was back.

Now extreme serp drops to the several hundreds I have experience with :D.

You can't get penalized for getting to many high PR links in a short amount of time.

I wouldn't spam it with low quality links.. just a couple high PR links and ping them. Wait 1-2 weeks and see if it comes back.. Like I said it could be a dance..

Here's one to prove keep building links

I had a site that's been "sandboxed" for well over 8 or 9 months. I've DONE no changes on site, with content or anything but have continued to build links.

Two days ago I'm back in the SERPs and WAY higher than before. The only way I knew I jumped back was that I started to get sales! I've had this happen a number of times. Just keep building links & CONTENT (if you don't mind it!) and you'll bounce back at some point.
