Same content for link building across different sites

Do you all use same content for link building across different sites?

Eg. if you create a profile backlink, can the contents be similar? Likewise, for web 2.0s, can the contents be similar? Or would this attract a penalty from google?

The last thing you need is to have spammy backlinks pointing to your website focus on quality than quantity

Thanks for the replies. The intention is not to post spam across multiple forums. The article would be written by a pro so I guess it should be of some quality. What I want to do is to post the exact same article across different web 2.0 and backlink to my site.

Don't post the exactly same articles to several posts, try to slightly change the article title, paragraphs, headings etc.

Hey @faisalmaximus, thanks for the reply. I am certainly no expert but my thinking was that even if I posted the same article many times, google penalizes the web 2.0 and not me. Correct? Why would this be an issue then?

if your content is fresh and unique google index it faster apparently i've done this technique and it didn't helped me ( same articles on diff web2.0)
better just use any article spinner sometimes. mostly focus on uniqueness of your content.

Thanks for the reply. When you say "it didn't helped me". What did you mean by help? Was the link juice not passed or did your site get a penalty from google?

The issue here is that I need to consider the trade-offs between 2 things: Cost of spinner vs Cost of indexing. If you are saying it is slower to index, then I would lean towards paying for indexing cost it is usually cheaper. All reliable spinner cost much more....
