I will start by introducing myself, i'm a 23 year old recent uni graduate from Aus (Majoring in Geology), working full time. However I work an hours train ride from where I live, giving me an extra 2-3 hours a day to use my laptop. So instead of watching re-runs of "It's always Sunny in Philadelphia" I decided to venture into IM.

I actually rediscovered this after downloading a torrent for my gf, opened it up and realised some guy was making money off this (I won't give away what he did). Pissed off I had wasted an hour downloading this, I googled his name, stumbling along this forum. My eyes widen, brain started racing as I thought of the possibilities this site offered. Instantly I spent the last week reading as much as I can off these forums, discovering a way to put my foot in the door.

I settled upon starting with a guide by Johnhunter, which is a 7 day guide to promoting an affiliate product. I loved this becuase...
    • The Niche was already chosen for me
    • Gave me a cheap entry point
    • Allow me to learn various ways of directing traffic to my site
    • Not have to worry about SEO

So far I have completed 2 days of the program so I will update them below after stating my goals.

    First goal
I want to make my first sale through clickbank
    • Be doing this through Johnhunters guide
    • Youtube, yahoo answer's and social media

If anyone wants to offer any help I'll be more than happy to accept! Or if someone would like some sort of mentor/mentee relationship I would be stoked. In return I can offer diet/workout advice as that is my main passion, can show photos of my progress if you do not believe me.

Second post will be what I have done so far...

    Day 1

Day 1 involved buying both a domain name and hosting for the site, then setting that to forward to the products landing page. I liked this concept a lot as it meant I could gain experience learning how to drive targeted traffic to my link, without having to build my own landing page. Personally I think this is one of the harder steps, you can have the greatest website in the world, but if you don't promote it effectively, you will get no where. So by doing it this way, I will effectively learn one of the most important steps of affiliate marketing.

I researched some keywords through "Google external keyword tool", settling on a few domain names. I found one in the end that I was pretty happy with and then set it to forward directly to my affiliate link.

    Day 2

This involved downloading videos from the affiliate section, creating titles, descriptions, etc. for the videos and generally learning about how youtube operates. So far I have started writing titles, descriptions and scripts to help do reviews/introduce the product. Over the next few days I hope to record/upload 1-2 videos a day and use fiverr to help promote them.
