"Safest" place to keep your passwords?

i feel like hiding it in your moms basement is the safest one tho

I save them in my browser and also on a spreadsheet stored in a private cloud account. Probably not the safest way, but the email address I use to sign up to important apps and sites is different than the one I use to actually talk to people and no one knows it.

I cannot believe some of the things I am reading here
I would NEVER store my passwords online, not in google spreadsheets, not in password managers. I dont care if they say they are encrypted, I dont know that.
also, I would never write down my passwords in a notebook. are you people stupid? have you ever heard of the wild fires going on? what about home robbery, have you ever heard of that?
right now I save my passwords in a password protected Word file on my desktop. I am not sure how hard it would be for someone determined to open it without knowing the correct password. based on some very basic research I have done, it's not an easy job.
I have been thinking about kind of encrypting everything in my brain when I record the passwords in the Word file. like "my password for the bank where the italian woman works"
good lucks finding out what bank I am talking about.
thanks for sharing this method, I'm going to do this right now

oh my! for real? how many tattoos do you have?

For example you can have a bird tattoo or dragon tattoo that tattoo design means "dragon" and below you put something like X14N05 something you want, easy to remember "dragonX14N05" of course you can use dr@gon bla bla..

Just use your creativity and you will be fine, if your password is long you can encrypt it and try to lower.

just started using lastpass, great on mobile, shit on laptops...
will try these methods too.:)

Won't say the lastpass is the safest. Don't put all your eggs in one basket.

you can use paper and lock it in the safe:cool:

Might sound funny, but I believe there's nothing better than this method. Like, it's almost impossible to hack if you don't carry it around.
On the other hand - it's pretty hard to restore if lost.

well yeah it would work if you don't change the passwords on anything or have just a couple of them
