I use many automated spammy link tools and I've used them on my moneysites in the past and it worked, ranking number 1 in Google, then I got slapped!

I was under the impression that spammy links could not have a negative effect on your website? Otherwise many people would fire these blog comments and forum posts at competitors. Should I not fire these types of links at my direct site any more?

If I create another site, let's call it my "Spam Site", and Link my "Spam Site" to my "Money Site" and bascially fire all the spammy links to the "Spam Site" will my "Money Site" still increase in the rankings?

I also recommend webmasters to get both combination of high PR manual link like private network, guest blog, press release, video in addition to the tools you have. For instance, if am using a tool for web 2.0 and it can't post to sites like squidoo, hubpages and EZA, just authority sites in general, I recommend you do that manually. Also, we need not underestimate the importance of LSI keywords and using your main anchor text keywords not more than 40%. Google is really cracking down on poor SEO and low quality site/content.

I'm confused with EMD's now, should we avoid buying these names now? If I wanted to rank "Red Cars" should I avoid buying RedCars.com
