Safe Place to Buy Domains

Has anybody here used proud*domains before? I just heard of them not so long ago. Any experience with this company?

So where does using dreamhost to register domains rank? Or in a broader sense what about just registering domains with your host?

$5 Domains at Domain Central. Seems like the deal don't it?

I've been going through HELL with them trying to push a domain I sold (they have to do it manually). It's been 2 weeks and it's not been done. I would NOT keep valuable domains with them. This company is Australian based with their customer support outsourced through 24/7 live chat in India. What you ask for never really gets done.
About 30% of the time I check their site is down or not operating (even as I write this, it's down!)
Not even worth $5. Pay $1-$2 more with a reliable registrar, small price to pay to get stuff done.
