when i first came to bhw i subscribed to a theory that paid members
where more trust worthy ie donors vips ect, the more time i spent on bhw
over the last 4/5 yrs the more i found this isnt true.
i learned trust isnt about your rank post count or how many stars you have its
defined by the person you are. but also , the ends that people will go to to smile at
you while behind your back they will blatantly try and rip you off [ scam you ]

only this week a bhw donor member tried to buy my service with a group buy,
i was lucky enough to see it coming , yet because this user was caught and
rightly banned , my service was attacked, links i advertise in my sig for other
respected service sellers attacked , my youtube videos defaced with nasty
vile coments about me and my partner and all because i caught a member
who was going to scam me.

sad times my friends when you work hard, do the best you can to give something
and not over charge for it, bust your ass to make it work well, then have these
jackasses try and screw you over, but because you beat them to the punch
attack what you have tried to build. sad days indeed.

Unfortunatly that's the way buisness goes mate! I have very few people in my life I'd trust 100% in the real world! I'd rather die before trusting anyone online 100%

All you can do is ignore the comments and don't retaliate to them! Prove your still a trusted seller and people will soon defend your name.

That's why I'm starting more and more to look at previous posts, what people have said in the past can often be the biggest indicator of what type of person they are.

There are a lot worse things than getting group buy'd on...

And I'll trust an established member over a noob here any day. It means something, not everything.

"thats the way it goes" that's insane.

Stop acting like fucking children people. Not everything needs to be "blackhat" and you don't need to scam or run a "method" on people at every turn. If you want a service... BUY IT and if you get caught trying to fuck someone over don't be a dick and DDoS / Spam / etc the guy for busting you.

Most people subscribe to the mindset that rank/class is an indication of trust, this is true outside of BHW too.

Sadly, it isn't true. Look at how many people in the world are in a position of power and abuse their trust.

One more reason to check their previous records and trades.

so you believe its fine for donor members to scam others here
with a comment like that . you define the person and morals you
aspire to. good to no for future reference

ty i have been doing that for some time also

yup i just find sad day when donors are trying to scam other donors
when the reason to be here is just the same as them to earn a small living

i think anyone is entitled to a[ moan ] as you call it when his fellow members
are trying to rip him off

    Never you mind.
I cant say I know what this community used to be like but I know the feeling when a place you once trusted evolves into somewhere you need to watch your back. Its a shame. Luckily your smart, check people out and see things coming so keep yourself right.

I think we're all entitled to a moan every now and then! Things change and if youve been here from the early days you'll know more than most how it affects your business.

I didn't say that. If you're going to malign the entire paying portion of the bhw community for somebody trying to break the rules of your service maybe you should just offer your service elsewhere, see how that works out. If you want to keep offering services, deal with the fact some people will try to rip you off, and stop crying.

While it may seem offensive, your reply is completely true. It is wrong to equate one scammer with the entire BHW community. To say that we are living in an era full of dark days just because you almost got scammed (great that you caught the scammer) is simply an incorrect thing to say or vent out. Things like this do happen in business, and when it does, you have to prepare and prevent. Threads like this simply won't help you or anyone else.

While I understand OP's frustration, I also echo the opinion that you can't put a whole category in the bag because of a few elements. Plus, I don't think group buyers are scammers, they're more like cheapskates, and there's a big difference in the intent. As a seller of whatever product I can cope with groupbuyers, but I absolutely can't stand scammers.

yes and ive dealt with many scams on bhw over 5 yrs, had the insults
the threats for catching them, a few rude words. that i can deal doesn't
bother me in the slightest - its when you gets spammed after with messages
of wishing your family dead it gets a bit annoying. there's a line you shouldn't
cross, so a minor moan about it makes me feel better.

IMHO the best you can do against childish behavior like that is just ignore it. If it gets your focus out of productive endeavors, the troll wins.
