Russia bans VPNs and proxies

    Well, it's not that difficult to set up your own VPN if you really need it.

    I guess they can block the VPN sites (not the service itself), but if someone wants to use a proxy or a VPN, he/she'll still be able to do it, just not legally, but i don't think that too many fucks are given to (internet) laws in Mother Russia.

    Also it appears, the bill still needs to pass the upper chamber and Putin himself. :)

    Actually, if we take a close look at the situation on the bill it is getting obvious that they try to force VPN's providers to cooperate with the Government. It's not a ban of technology or something, they just try to control ISP and VPN's providers.
