    Im pissed off.

I have a 1 1/2 year old website with tons of original content written by me and a forum for that same website. I did have around 20 keywords from that website that ranked somewhere on the first page of Google for a long long time now and havent moved or danced in at least 6 months.

I tried to run an adwords campaign for a friend of mine who has a personal training business. The ad got "denied" by big G due to "site policy". Having no clue what was remotely wrong I contacted adwords to find out. They did a manual review of the homepage of my website. (However, I was trying to run a campaign for an inner page!! )and said that they could not approve the ad because the homepage had multiple links to various duplicate affiliate material -- ( i.e. clickbank products). They told me I would have to remove all ads and outside links from the homepage in order for them to approve the ad. I didnt understand because I was setting up a campaign for an inner page sales copy with no external links whatsoever..lol. I emailed them again to question their findings and a week later still havent received a response.

However, a couple days after they did a manual review of the website for an adwords campaign I noticed my traffic fell completely off-- Investigating further I found my website and all its keywords completely dropped off the SERPs!! The pages are still indexed but ALL 20 pages that ranked on the 1st page of Google for their respective keywords completely dropped off the SERPS. I searched till 1k results and none appeared anywhere.

Let this be a lesson to anyone who decides to question the big "G" about any decision they make.

Luckily I have other websites where I make most of my money but this is incredible especially if I had this website making huge money as the bulk and only source of my income!!

Thats just wrong and I have no clue if there is anything I can do about it [IMG]

Its best if not a single person at google is made aware of a website. No good can come from it. It is all risk and very little reward. I would never contact them about anything. It costs them money to support you and thats a good enough reason for them to [email protected]#$ on you. They aren't known for great customer support.

I am really sorry to hear this happened to you. I'd shut down all the adwords campaigns and see if things don't improve in a month or two before totally giving up. Maybe its a new Adwords compliance tool on Google's end or something.

    You never know...

Google is getting more and more retarded.

Remove all affiliate links and ads? Why should someone pay them money for traffic if they want you to remove any monetization method from your site??? Christ.

Once I was complaining to an AM that one of my sites was ranking poorly.
Needless to say, the entire site was nothing but dup-content affiliate pages...

That idiot asked Goofle to have a look!!! He even seemed proud of it!

As you can imagine, no page from that site ever showed up in the SERPs again! :banghead: The only way I could find it at all was with a site: query, and pretty soon, even that just showed a page or two instead of the 100k pages there used to be.

There was certainly ONE set of affiliate programs that got removed from ALL of my sites!

to quote the google representative :

"Google does not permit ads for bridge pages that are solely intended to direct the user to anotherwebsite with the same or similar information. We've found that when a page has multiple ads that to the same site, the results are less relevant and users have a lower-quality experience."

makes no friggin sense because the page in question had ZERO external links. Only the homepage for the website does...
