RSS on twitter?

Can we use RSS on twitter account?

I created several twitter accounts, find different niches' RSS and add them to my twitter account, so whenever there's a new post, my twitter account would auto post a tweet.

But after a few days, 50% of my accounts were suspended. Can't we link RSS to our twitter account? I don't understand why twitter suspended my accounts.

Anyone encounter same problem?

I have not had this issue were they affiliate rss feeds? I have only used leads from my own sites

Did you contact twitter about why you got suspended?

They always answer.
I got a ton of newspaper accounts running RSS feeds for there homepage.

Using one of these services will mostly likely ensure that you won't get banned.

If you were using your own homegrown tool to post RSS feeds then you probably got banned due to your IP getting blacklisted.

Also, the frequency and volume of updates -- independently or as a combination -- may have triggered a suspension. Throttle it to 2-3 every hour or so and you should be fine.

Last thing is to take some time to create a following THEN push your RSS feed. Creating an account and implementing a RSS feed immediately is a big red flag for Twitter.

I have used TwitterFeed without a problem. Posted 3K+ updates on one account without issue.

It *can* do it -- but I recommend NOT using TweetMyBlog.

TweetMyBlog basically allows you to advertise for someone else and watch them make $ for your efforts. Great if you run TweetMyBlog.

TwitterFeed does the same thing -- is free -- and does not Spam your account.

Granted you have to take some time to set-up TwitterFeed -- but it is worth the effort.

I would love to have a twitter rss feeder that uses 'from web' instead of something like 'from twitterfeed'.... too bad there aren't any free tools available out there which does this..

Thanks for the advise.
I create some new twitter accounts, then push RSS feeds from some major websites like CNN, ESPN, etc immediately without creating followers. Is that the reason? I want the twitter accounts to be automatically updated.

I choose 1 update/hr, so that should be fine.

I suspected my IP was banned already, but there's no way I can confirm that. If it's true, I can't create any more twitter accounts?

With Twitterfeed it slams my twitter with a whole load of posts at once causing people to complain. Is there a was to only allow one or two of the rss feeds through per update?

sure.
edit your feed and you'll see that you can change the number of posts per update... the number there 5 (don't ask me why it just is).

You can get around the twitterfeed multiple posts all at once problem with tweetlater.c0m . they cost a few bucks a month but the service works with multiple twitter and ping.fm accounts. very nice service. I can split up my submissions and time delay them, offset post on the multiple accounts, etc. Definitely worth checking out. (and no i don't work for them, just one of the tools i pay for that i'm actually very happy with).

If you want to push RSS content to your Twitter accounts without leaving a footprint like "posted from Twitterfeed" or "posted from Hootsuite" then you can use EasyTweetsPro which will post our items as "from the web".

It's not free though.

A much better (though more difficult to impliment) solution is to use macros. With macros you can automatically select one of your accounts that is "linked" to one of your niche autoblogs (say sports) and log into that account's Hootsuite account. Then the macro can randomly select the URL of the rss feed to one of your "sports" autoblogs. It can then select the first item in the RSS feed list, pulling up that post, at which point it clicks the Hootlet button, and submits your tweet from hootsuite...then logs out and does it all over again for a different account.

The entire thing is completely random and can do out-of-the-box type of things like randomly selecting a tweet (containing a link) from one of your accounts and then retweeting it (while giving full credit to the original account) to a new account. This creates a whole new level of authenticity.

What you do is set the time on twitterfeed to every 30 minutes then instead of hammering it with 5 at a time per hour do two or three at a time. Integrate 2-3 feeds on related niche topics and have them staggered in between for a more natural flow.
