I'm trying to get my head around the use of RSS feeds and want some help.

    1. I take the RSS feeds from my main web2.0 properties and submit them to rss directories, and i ping them. The aim being that the pages contained within the feeds get indexed by google.

    2. So i then create backlinks to these web2.0 properties bookmarks and articles. I need these pages to be indexed for google to class them as links.

heres my question can i not just enter these links into SB ping feature and just ping them to get googles attention?

OR I take the links combine them into 1 rss feed, and ping the rss feed.

I don't understand the difference, other than being able to submit the rss feed to directories to increase the chances of spiders finding the links.

thanks for taking the time to answer guys
