I'm looking for RSS feed strategies to get one way links to my site.
I looked around various rss aggregator sites today. They all allow you to submit a rss feed url along with registration. Most want you to pay a few bucks and some are free.

However what I noticed is that looking at the sites that submitted their feeds, search engines aren't crawling their pages and thus no backlinks are being generated

I looked at the merits of Bookmarking Demon and Magic Submitter (haven't purchased them). They look to be very narrow in scope. For example BD focuses only on Scuttle, Pligg and PHPDug sites to drop links. Anyone comment on how effective thiis is and if those links hold well?

Any insight to this? And other ideas along this line?

For this example lets say my content is Honda Cars.

I start with a Vbulletin website, I'm sure you can use wordpress or joomla too.

I locate Twitter/facebook pages that post content about Honda.

I locate their RSS feeds and connect it to my website.

RSS feeds are auto-posting to my site.

I then submit the Sitemaps to Google Webmaster tools.

And what specifically did this accomplish Salty? Other than reusing someone else's RSS feed (i.e. content) I don't see any benefit for building backlinks.
