Well I have little to no experience in internet marketing.

I have heard of people make upwards of $10mil in their first year online...so there's no reason why I can do $5mil.

I just retired from playing professional baseball (injury) and even though I never made it to the major leagues, I'm still going to get my big league contract.

I'm pissed the way my career ended and quite frankly I'm fired up to start fresh and dive headfirst into this.

I don't care how many hours I have to work, codes I have to learn, google slaps I have to wear to the face, people telling me I won't succeed, or even catastrophic problems I never even saw coming. I am going to do this.

I am going to outwork everyone on this site.

    And I won't stop until I succeed.

So I guess this is the beginning.

    Here we go.

You certainly have the determination and the drive to make it in IM. But do you have a plan? Do you have a method in mind that you are going to try to get you started? In any event, I will be following this journey with interest.

    Good luck! :)

    Thanks man.

    I do have a plan.

I plan on having two main sources of income and then I want to become an IM guru. (I know this sounds a little cocky but if I make a few million in my first year I'm sure there will be enough people that will want to buy my product)

    1. An amazon private label FBA business. Not gonna get into specifics but it's in the health and fitness industry. I have already ordered my product and I am just waiting on the factory to deliver the product.

    2. Start a Health/Fitness network, build an email list and deliver the most informative, helpful health/fitness newsletter in the English Language (while promoting healthy affiliate offers). Going to create a whole network with a blog, insta, pinterest, facebook page, backlinks, seo, affiliates, etc.

I want a 100k+ double opt-in list by the end of the year. The bulk of my profits will come from list, and the quality of the content. I want people to be excited to get my emails in their inbox. I also want to outsource, or maybe create my own weight loss/fitness program.

    3. Create an IM product of some sort. Connect with some big players and join/create my own mastermind group. Might take me longer than a year or two but this is my long term goal.

    4. Offer consulting at a very high rate.

While I am working on my site I am also going to try to make some side money promoting affiliate offers through pinterest, craigslist, and facebook using some of the methods on this site.

I don't have a ton of capital so I need to build my bankroll so I can spend money buying traffic and outsourcing all the coding and everything else I have no idea how to do.

That's excellent. You know exactly what you want to do and have both long and short term goals. Between that and your dedication, you will have no problem succeeding in IM. Wish you all the best :)

    Sounds like a Plan

Most of IMer's seem to have similar like plans of building massive list, but there are hardly few who make it at the end of the day, not discouraging just it is that you need to be bit different and stand out
This is the best thing you can do to make that kind of profits because that is dead saturated niche

xpesos: yeah I know it's saturated but it's also the biggest market on the internet. I truly believe that with a lot of hard work I can deliver a better product than the industry leaders. Down the road I could also envision a online store, entire supplement line, maybe even real brick and mortar stores, but that's at least a few years away.

The truth is I legitimately enjoy health and fitness, and writing articles and doing research would be fun for me. I'm going to be a lot more passionate and work a lot harder doing something I enjoy than marketing something like brazilian cell phone compaines or asian midget porn. Just the way I see it. Who knows maybe I'll change my mind down the road.

    and ipodtouchhackerisher:

I played in the minor leagues but I would like to keep my identity on the anonymous side for obvious reasons. Sorry.

Did I miss something, you retired from baseball, but you are still expecting a "big league contract"? How does that work?

yeah and I also agree with you xpesos, it's easy to talk and come up with a plan.

The hard part is executing your plan. Day after day. Week after week. Even when things aren't going well.

I believe I have the mental fortitude to do this.

I have a lot of incentive. My only job is coaching baseball and it pays like ****. I'm sick of being broke. Minor leaguers don't make any money so I'm definitely not rich right now. I have a few $K saved up and I'm willing to dump it all into this.

yeah I mean I just want to make as much money in IM as I would have made playing baseball. Who knows maybe my elbow will magically heal and I'll make a comeback in a few years. I hope so, but for now my elbow is ******.

You don't know about SEO (yet).

You want to create your own IM product and sell it to others.

Have you checked out the warrior forum?

Php - I know what SEO is in theory, and I'm sure I could figure it out. I've just never done it before.

And I saw warrior forum when I was searching for IM forums. That forum seems like a bunch of old people who are stuck in the mud. This forum has an young, underground feel to it, which I honestly think is way cooler. I suppose it couldn't hurt to be active on both sites.

NRE - thanks I'll check that book out.

srinu - I hope so. thanks man!

You certainly sound determined. You and I are in very similar situations. I will be following this thread closely. I have done a lot of work on Amazon (none with FBA however) so let me know if you have any questions. There aren't too may other amazon sellers on here. TONS of affiliates but very few actual sellers.

That would be great illustrator. I honestly have no idea what I am doing selling stuff on amazon but I'm giving it a shot and crossing my fingers that it sells. Once they finish the packaging and ship the stuff I'll definitely contact you!

This has got to be one of the stupidest posts I have ever seen in my entire life. At first, I thought it was a joke. But then I realized how far off you are. ANd let me tell you why.

One, you haven't made $1. Why not try and make $1 before you make $5 million. Maybe even $500.

Second, you are already thinking of promoting an IM product because you are already going to be a "guru" before you have even made a single freakin dollar.

Cool that you were going to be a pro but you are not entitled to anything. Make a dollar before you make $5 and make $5 before you make $10.

And, of course I know what you are going to say. Oh you are being negative and why not dream big. Well, I do dream big and I have dealt with tons of haters and will always deal with haters. First off, there is a difference to dreaming outrageously and dreaming realistically. Dreaming realistically would be to say I want to be self sufficient within 1 year. Dreaming outrageous would be like saying, "I am going to be an IM guru and make $5 million dollars in one year before I know one single thing about IM and before I even made one single dollar." Honestly, I am surprised no one else has ripped this thread to pieces.

Want to know why? First off, you cant control when you will make money and how much money you will make. Soon you will find that there are things outside of yourself that will dictate how much you make and when you make it. Let us say you create a product and only x amount of people are interested in it. Or say that no one is interested in it. Because you know what?? You want really know until you do it and that is why creating a money goal is one of the worse things you can do.

Sure, the harder you work, the smarter you work the luckier you get, but you will never be able to dictate how much money you make and when you make it.

Good luck. I can't wait to see how many millions you make this year. Hey, and don't be sad if you only make 2-3 mil.

Edit - I also thought of something funny OP. How long did it take you to become a pro baseball player? Do you think I can become a PRO pitcher this year? I mean, I haven't pitched before and I know nothing about it but I think I want to be an all star hall of fame professional pitcher and win the cy young award. I also want to endorse Nike and open my own baseball clothing company using me as the spokesperson.

Maybe I should start my own thread. What do you think OP? Do I got a shot at the big leagues?

learned so much in the last two days it's crazy.

So my immediate plan of action for the next few hours is creating a few craigslist accounts and post my "cloaked" (thanks bhw) affiliate link in some classified ads.

I'm going to go through a proxy just to be safe so my IP address doesnt get banned. I'm going to make 5-6 unique ads each from 5 different accounts and post them in the best section for my product. I will be targeting the large markets.

If I write a good, thoughtful, honest ad I think I will have a decent chance at converting at least one person. Best case I get a few conversions and worst case I hope I don't get permanently banned from craigslist!!
