I've got a client that runs two separate businesses using two separate websites. However, they sell similar products from the same industry, but focus on two different segments of it. (An example would be: one sells mainly phones, and one mainly sells tablets, but they crossover and sell both phones & tablets.) My client currently hosts these two sites on two separate servers. However, we are getting ready to move hosts, and are thinking about consolidating to save costs. So need to ask you experts - is it risky to run both these sites the same server? Will Google see it as duplicating a business for keyword sake? (He actually didn't intent to do this, it just happened when he purchased a similar business to his existing one). If it is a problem, would it work if we set them up under different DNS name servers? Any and all advice is greatly appreciated!!!
