Hey guys I figured if anyone is worth asking it's the BHW community.

So I have a plan. Instead of linking to already VERY popular youtube channels with like 10 million views can I just rip the popular videos and place them on my channel with a link back to my money site?

Can i get in trouble for this?? :pirate:

You can rip videos but you should uniqify em but even then if you rip a real popular channel you will probably get your video taken down eventually. ripping less popular videos is a lot easier though or try ripping new videos from popular channels

But what if, after you ripped the videos, you reported the original vid account holder before uploading the ripped vids to your youtube account? :p

I done it at least once a year ago. Before uploading the videos I ripped, I reported the real account first and once the coast was clear I began my upload. Also like to note I tried to watermark the stolen videos. :pirate:

Chances are if you're ripping someone elses videos that has a solid following, someone will let them know and they'll report it to youtube and your video will be removed.

Happens to me all of the time, one of my video's get's ripped constantly.. but fortunately I have a pretty loyal following who either report it for me, or notify me of it and I just let youtube know of the copyright violation.

    I'm didn't! :D

This was last year when Jessi Slaughter became a rising star. I thought I could get thousands of views if I was one of the first to upload videos about her. When Good Morning America did a piece on her, I ripped a HQ vid from another user than I used that reporting button on him. I kept choosing the anonymous report option that says this video is harassment or something and signed into different accounts at internet cafes to report the user.

I'm sorry, I don't know if the button is still there but I didn't email them or anything saying it was a video I made because it was a Good Morning America clip after all and mine would've been taken down eventually.

So after the user's video was removed, I went ahead and uploaded the clip.

Oh gees, I'm not really helping. I think what worked for me was because so many people were uploading the same kerligirl13 thing that Youtube gave up removing them.
