Hey guys I need some advice. I am doing affiliate work for a movie based offer which is very prevalent in the movie niche. I had a damn good idea which I was recommending to them to increase conversions for affiliates and in turn them. Well they didn't get around to make the idea real, so about 7 months later I created a it. And it worked like a charm. Now 4 months later, I see they have basically COPIED my entire set up, IMAGE FOR IMAGE, TEXT FOR TEXT and code for code.. THey just straight up copied my shit and changed the title to be their website....

I know this has happened before with networks stealing their affiliates methods then closing the offer, but damn does it suck.

This is what I need advice on:

I was just about to email them asking them wtf is going on. But then i realized that I better go about this the right way. If done correctly I can probably get a piece of the pie for each sale they make with it. And if not then I'll get to elbowing them in the fucking face and exposing their company for the fraud it is. But I really don't want to do that because I've been relying on their company for my income so I'd rather just partner up/ have them pay me off.

    What should I do??

    Update:

I just emailed my aff manager just LOLing at the copy of my shit. And saying "Looks like guys liked my idea?"

Then I explained how that idea was good but wasn't even close to the original idea I had to super increase conversions, the only problem is that I cannot create it myself, I would need them to create it for me, and it would do many times better in conversions than the current one they are copying off my site.

It sucks too because I copied their images, to use on my set up (for consistency through out the pre-sell to sale pages), now they are copying my set up of their images + a bit of my extra coding and my creative twist.

    Update:

I just noticed that it actually is not the affiliate company copying me but another affiliate.. That makes way more sense, they just changed the domain from .COM to .NET and copied everything from the original site and added my conversion increaser into it! this is what I was wanting to do but they must have beaten me to the punch.. well played, thats exactly how I roll too..

I think that's why some people prefer to redirect all their stuff to their own tracking software (whitehat talking) instead of leaving the tracks of what are you doing.

honestly i dont understand about legal stuff.

thats really a shame and i don't like such attitude of ripping their own campaign publishers. I think you should really talk with your affiliate manager. At the end, they will lose because you will stop promoting their offer with possible future ideas.

    regards
