Okay, so I know very little about SEO and internet marketing. But I know when I'm being ripped off. I have seen a few endorsements for Fiverr up here but I guess it helps if you know what to watch out for. I clearly don't if my recent exploits with Fiverr are to go by. The fact is that I'm trying to find other solutions to Google adwords. Years ago it was all I needed to make sales of physical goods and Ebooks. Now I cannot comprehend how anyone is paying the inflated price per click of products that are just worth a few pounds. My latest round of Google adwords was a disaster. It's cheaper to sell on Ebay and pay their fixed fees than it is to sell any product off my own website. So I've been trying out different Fiverr campaigns. I figured they are cheap so what the hell if they don't make sales. But somehow it still makes me angry when I feel like I've been ripped off. So I was wondering if I should just avoid Fiverr altogether? I would be happy to place my experiences of any sellers I use on Fiverr, but as they have almost all been bad, it would be nothing more than a warning of what I experienced. One of them promised 5000 human UK targeted clicks, claiming that he was buying up expired domain names and whatnot. When I paid, all he wanted was the URL which made me suspicious right off. For the last 3 days I have seen a constant flatline of repetitive and consistent traffic that appears to be coming in from Google. It is all so consistent across a 24 hour period - same amount of clicks at 3am as opposed to 6pm at night - it's clear it's all automated. Naturally the traffic converts into nothing at all. No sales or enquiries. The second one claimed to post to about 50 social bookmarking sites. Didn't see one single solitary click appear in my referral list as a result. Sigh! I just need to find a better marketing method than Google adwords, which won't cost me a £1 a click to sell a £3 item. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
