Ok, so I was just approached by someone who has filled out a RoR against a company because a friend told them to...now that the report is ranking on p 1, the person is freaking out because they feel like they damaged the company's rep disproportionately. I'm going to work on pushing it down (create/rank new sites, boost existing sites, etc), but I'm wondering if there is a better way to go about it in this situation.

Just to be clear, it is the person who filed the complaint, not the company, that wants this done away with...this is a first for me, so any suggestions are appreciated with some thanks and +rep for constructive posts.

Register a bunch of domain names with the keyword you're trying to work on. Create microsites on them and then link them. Web 2.0's help too, namely these ones:
    -Twitter (usually 1st page)
    -Facebook
    -Google+ (usually 1st page)

    Blogs that help
    -Tumblr (usually 1st page)
    -Blogger (usually 1st page)
    -Wordpress
    -Squidoo
    -Quora

    PR sites help
    -PR Log

Some Random One's that are good
    -Weebly
    -About.me
    -Wikispaces
    -Flickr (usually ranks 1st page)
    -Photobucket
    -YouTube (usually 1st page)

    Hope that helps.

While this will reveal who I am, this is how I play that game. Notice that I created a complaint against myself that gave the real story of what is going on.

Unfortunately, with the new G update, the page has disappeared from some places, but shows very strongly in others; also the links I had buried rose. Over time my response will rise of its own initiative to the places of each person named. On page SEO can be a real boost, then you go to off page SEO.

Use the weakness of the scam sites against themselves.

These people, the guys that run ROR are terrible folks. If you're the consumer and you put a report on their site, but realize you don't want it up there anymore they won't allow you to take it down. They won't allow you to edit it, nothing. They want the business owners to pay them in order to reply to it. Shameful business.

I'm no expert by any means but by the looks of it when I google your real name, your online rep looks awful. It's a shame our reps can be hijacked and ruined almost in a weeks time!!! I'm not sure what you were trying to show with this though...maybe I missed something. But goodluck; I'm always open to new methods/sites/tactics to bury negative web results.

You have to consider that I am in an open war with those people. I actually want their smut to appear and allow some of it to stand. Part of this is politics. I use that and forensic copies of websites that they have created against me to press for legislation limiting them.

The next thing that you should understand is that I effectively created, and and provided supporting evidence, of why my claims are correct and theirs are false. This is a use of propaganda. Skillful use of propaganda destroys the value of anything negative a person may write because they do not know what to believe. I do not have the liberty, outside of what is posted in the rep repair section of my blog, to list names of those I have done work for. Needless to say the smut gets buried past page three. You also have to remember that when you bury negative material it is still on the web and a determined person will find it.

    This is why propaganda.

Now you want the great surprise? I put some of that material up myself. tres-hop, Reality Sandwich, Help.com, JohnJames are all my own work, and there are many others. Pissed Consumer, ROR (outside of the page I linked to), ComplaintsBoard that you cant find, Mugshots.com, and many others are their work. I pretty much own the first five pages, excepting ROR PissedConsumer, and Mugshots.com. I owned the first ten pages, excluding the three mentioned until the G update. Notice how I am spinning in each of pages I put up. I tell no person to do something that I have not tested on myself. It is my rep online, my face, my name. It is better to show what you can do and to be willing to take the chance and test against yourself than it is to claim BS. Then I personally do not care what someone who does not know me thinks. I have all the information, including extortion emails from them on my blog. Try putting a mugshot or mugshots behind the name and see what happens? Notice that the material that I want to come up shows in the first five positions. Just prior to the recent G update I had everything buried except ROR. Most of it more than 6 pages back.

Also, as I had mentioned the new Google update altered some of my work. The point is however, that a person puts out information that they control. Once they obtain control (authority) over their name, it is easy to bury serps, or alter the opinion of those that are willing to have their opinion altered. Propaganda is a mutha. It is negative propaganda that the scam sites rely on to compel one to pay their extortion fees. I use a variety of methods. For my own stuff I have my reasons given above for doing it my way.

Please just remember, when I post about something like this, I have tested it against myself. That is why I illustrated, and outed myself, one way of overcoming a negative ROR report. Give facts that explain what is going on in a separate complaint using proper on page SEO with the words you want to rank for repeated between 3.5 and 7 percent of the time. Never respond on the complaint against you. Create a new complaint that gives alternative information and destroys the negative complaint. Use your enemies weakness. Also bear in mind that Mugshots.com is using Sape links while ROR has several million backlinks behind it.

I think I have given everyone enough to think about.
