This price filtration is exactly my point. They say super cars manufacturer like lambos and Ferraris never advertise cos the average joe watching these won't be sitting infront of the coach. So apple contradict this by setting an unusually higher price than other phones and then want to filter these people out as well? Not really for them it's more the merrier they don't care about the children who will pressurise their working class parents to spend their weekly/monthly (depending on country) salary on this. This is why I don't like apple in particular not only is it bad that they restrict their systems but also culturally it is not progressive (something gogle keeps mentioning about their eco system)
My point about rolls royce wasn't about breakages, it was quite simple actually. A software upgrade set by the manufacturer crashes their own products in whos mindset would this be a product well made? Just the average Joe who thinks buying an expensive set to filter them out from from someone who can't afford it.
Just my opnion no offence intended
None taken!
You're wrong about the advertising of supercars, they do advertise, and I see it where I live, though, maybe we live in different areas/countries.
For every brand - the more sales the merrier, at the end of the day, it's all about money, but since you can't have all the money in the world it is better to filter 'average joe' for a number of reasons, one of them is to attract more sales, give exclusivity. iPhone is associated with a luxury car (to me) while Android with a smelly subway that always late (like NYC subway, though, that's my opinion, not an official statement). iPhone has very specific marketing that shapes the image of an average iPhone user and it's not an 'average joe'. Who cares that subway can bring you from point A to point B faster, I refer to spent an extra 15 minutes but drive a car.
Android does care about the children the same way as Apple, as you just said it yourself
'for them it's more the merrier'.
There are some restrictions, but everyone has some kind of restrictions to make people unhappy about. It's a choice of a buyer to agree or disagree on those restrictions - I never had an issue with any restrictions from my iPhone!

I have no idea what you talking about
and not trying to convince you that ios and iPhone better than any Android, it's a choice.
Some can afford RR but still drives Honda, it's not even about the money, but an image, feel, etc.
