I've been inspired by this other BHW journey
I like the part that the main focus is on posting content based on:
- niche questions
- top lists / how to's
- deep dive content
I've decided to start a journey where I REWRITE an 800+ page MASSIVE NICHE SITE starting with question posts\
Why rewrite?
Save time on keyword research
Build on competitor's research and content strategy
Learn from several competitors to come up with BETTER CONTENT
I plan to BEAT the original by doing the following
- rewriting with a tighter keyword focus
- using longer posts (ie., at least 1000 words per post and always 25% more content than the top results per keyword)
- use information from several sources that rank for the same target kws - compile whatever info is unique to create BETTER content
- better layout for easier reading
- at least 5 captioned pictures (ie., text ON the pictures themselves)
- at least 2 to 3 related videos (at first, these will be directly related YT embedded videos - later I'll swap these out for my own voiceover/narrated slideshows)
- organize the content into several question subheadings
- cover related questions (unrelated example below)
- cover "also searched" content (unrelated example below)
How I plan to promote the site
- Turn each article's questions into question headings for Twitter
- Turn 5 pics in each post into Pinterest pins
- Comment on embedded YT videos with the url of the post that contains those vids
- Blog comments
- Quora answers
- Guest post outreach
Monetization
- Print on demand shirts (promote via ad rotation)
- Pet guides (my own books - 100% profit)
- Adsense (on rotation with my other ads)
- Amazon product links in product-related top lists
OPERATIONS PLAN - How Do I pull this off?
Step 1: Sitemap rip of target site (COMPLETED)
Step 2: Keyword targeting analysis (COMPLETED)
Step 3: Rewrite articles and post (I'M AT THIS STEP)
Step 4: Create captioned pictures for each post and post to PINTEREST
Step 5: Turn each post into 5 different tweets targeting 5 different questions
Step 6: Post related YT video with each post and comment on video source
Step 7: Outreach for guest posts
