Any help/suggestions are greatly appreciated and will be + repped if helpful!

I have an ecommerce site thats 2 months old thats starting to rank well for some internal pages. I want to start writing review articles for my products and am wondering which way is better to go for SEO serp ranking.

Which of the below methods would work better overall?

1)I can put a wordpress review blog on a subdomain and link to my categories/products thus having more internal linking.

2)Create a totally new website on a totally unique IP address which is strictly a review blog for my ecommerce products and link out to each product/category on my original shop site

There must be a right answer to this but I cant figure it out as I keep getting different answers from all the SEO "experts" I personally know.

    Thoughts?

Strong internal linking will help your cause much more than the second option. Also submit your site to a number of respectable link building sites and you will be able to get more traffic. They will link to your subdomain and then would be able to find your domain as well.
