My URL - DA - 4 PR -4 BLP - 4240 BLD - 4900 .gov -4
- DMZ - NO Yah - No - Key Title - Yes Descrip - No

My competitor has yes's in DMZ - DESCRIPTION - TITLE - URL
they have a domain age of 8 and a pr of 4

The keyword I want to rank for is not in my title but is in theirs. However they only have 216 Backlinks.

My developers want to charge me $400 to implement the on page elements to my site. Do you think this $400 is worth the spend and will it make any difference, if some of my pages are titled with the keyword?

Dmoz is a bit over-rated I think.. Domain age is certainly a consideration but I think you could outrank this site. Hard to say with just that info.

$400 though, how much are you getting changed for that price?

Wow $400 seems a bit high, I read him more than one SEO blogthat having your keyword in your title tag is the single most important on page element for you to consider.

As that is all coming from more than one source, all of which tend to know more about the subject than me, I always find a way to weave my main keywords at the very beginning of my title tag.

I also find a way to make every title tag different and unique, I make sure that my keyword which I'm targeting is in my description, my meta-keywords, my H1 tag, and depending on the page, my blog post title or H2 tags.

well I thought it was alot too.

the thing is the website needs to be copied onto my developers server, then they can play with the titles

I have added

URL re writing
Alt tags
Page titles
Page descriptions
Site map
Site map submission

Basically the site is a user generated site with different departments. So each department would have in due course its own page title. currently it looks like this

php/aihbay..2233results.voiceoverspage.php

I dont have the feintest idea how to do h1 and h2, as my site is a basic cms site so I have placed a bid on rent a coder for them to first look over the breif I have written.

I could get this done for a lot less. but my developers are the only ones I trust playing with my p4 site that makes $2k a month. The last thing I want is to save money on someone doing it cheaper and they screw the whole site.

I am guessing that the $400 is well spent considering we have done well already without any on page whatsoever, we already have a 5 day return from google.
