Give me some pointers... It's my first blog ever and I DEFINITELY want to MONETIZE!
Where would you place ads?
What ads would you place? (Adbrite, Adsense,etc)
The articles are just short biographies/stories copied from other major sites like WikiPedia and MensHealth...

First of all forget the monetizing part. Focus on content. Did you ever heard "content is king "? You should be writing your own articles instead of copying them. Second part is traffic What god it will be if you have ads on your site and don't have any visitors... then when you have your visitors you can start to think how to cash in the traffic

Thanks for your advice... So let's say that I create my own content, would traffic start coming or do I have to focus on advertising my blog??

I like the look of the site and as Chris said, you need to focus on your content. You can take content from other sites but rewrite it and make it your own.

For traffic, you would need to promote it and you also need to create lots of backlinks pointing to your site. You can start by submitting your site to social bookmarks, there are tons of those sites.

Hey Taktikz, I have taken a look at your blog.

First of all, color combi is nice and relaxing to the eye. If you are using a lot of pictures, it will bring out the colors.

If you are intending to monetize, my advice is to do it ASAP. Noticed that you already have a text link ads implemented. It's a good start.

If you intend to use Google Adsense, it will be good if you can have more content so that the ads can be targeted else Adbrite will serve you well by serving Category Ads.

As you have limited content space. A Large Rectange ads within your content will not help you much. So for now, a good suggestion is to have a skyscraper ad at the sidebar.

Content wise. This is actually a good niche. Maybe you can have bit more contents like Gossips and things that we may not know...

Lastly you can add in a RSS Subscriber Link. You can use FeedBurner or FeedBlitz to help you sign up these people.
