If anybody else would like a copy of it let me know.. here is a bit more info..

This book is simple in style but packed full of guaranteed tried and tested marketing ideas that are either free or cheap. This book is for both new and existing business owners who need new creative ideas. Techniques that are used by successful businesses are exposed including how to get media coverage, how to market effectively on the internet and how to have a local presence.

First Review: Let me preface this by saying your book is on a topic that I actually work in, "market consulting, branding, management consulting" however, I do it almost exclusively OFFline. So that being said I will probably be a little harder on you than most people would. So please don't take it as a personal stab at all, strictly business advice.

The book itself could be a lot smaller in size. The font is massive and I know you wanted to do a "one page per tip" almost slide show kind of a book so people could focus on one thing, but it's a huge file for a list that could have been 10 pages.

Also some of the ideas are repeated throughout, radio is mentioned a couple times, google is mentioned several times, business cards a couple times, link and banner swapping, t-shirts and promotional items about 4 times, so there is a bit of overlap. I understand some of them were different methods using the same base item but if that's the case you'd be better off making an extended "top 50 tips" book and explaining the various methods in more detail.

Granted you do use mostly free or cheap methods so that is a definite plus to business owners, however these are all fairly saturated methods you can download form any number of torrent sites, except for a few ideas in there.

So with all that being said this is a recommendation I can make. Shorten this book to about 10 pages, make a landing page, commit to 6 months of postcard campaign (2 mailings a months IT DOES WORK PEOPLE) mailing to local businesses offering your "free 101 tips", collect data (leads) and auto-send the report upon their info submission, sort the data, and sell the list or market your services or products.

This is a lot of information in the book that can be found for free on several marketing blogs (i looked as i read along) and not detailed enough to be an item to charge money for, BUT that doesn't mean this can't be used as a great "freebie" tool, opening the door to bigger and better things!

Apologize if that seemed harsh, I just don't want to give a flop review and have you be upset if people ask for refunds if you were to sell it.

Thanks Cadkins45, this is for complete and utter newbie newbies though.. people who have an offline business.. and I feel that many of these concepts will be completely new to them, but I will mull over what you have said and will look forward to receiving more feedback from the other reviewers too. thanks for taking the time out for me.

Oh I completely agree with you on the fact that if you market this to "offline only" business owners 80% of this stuff will be a new and exciting world and foreign language! You could go around and use this as a template showing business owners that you can help their local business create an "online presence" and charge them on a retainer contract of course as a consultant. ;)

in retrospect, this is probably the wrong forum as people here are quite often experts in their field already so will not be viewing this book in the same light as the audience it was created for. However, I appreciate your comments all the same.
