I was just playing this game that I used to play when I was a kid, and got pretty excited when I beat the level that I got stuck at. Unfortunately it's limited to level 14 on the free version.
Now I'm trying to get this game(downloaded version) to activate -
(Since I'm not allowed to post links just yet, I'm afraid I have to ask you to find the game by yourself. Just Google "Ratinator" and it should turn up as the first result. The site's called Maid Marian)
I tried looking at the exe with a HEXeditor, but the serial doesn't seem to be stored in plaintext. I later tried Olly but the game crashed. Then I tried HIEW32 and W32DASM, but again no luck - I wasn't able to find any useful reference strings. A search on Shockwave decompilers only finds Flash decompilers(two separate things!).
Could anyone give me a hand on this one? To be honest it's more about learning how to do it than getting the game at this stage. I mean, I could just the get full version, so please don't suggest that
