Retard needs Twitter help...

Okay, so I've got 796 twitter followers (I just started)...dumb question...what's the best way to get these people into an autoresponder besides slamming them with a link to my squeeze page every 12 hrs?

One thing you can do is make a tweet. (or several over several days, but don't be spammy) and ask their "opinion" of your landing page. You would like some feedback etc.

Will not be huge, but you can use tweetburner (are you familiar with it?) to get an idea of how many actually read your tweets and it tracks if your link is clicked to your page,etc.

Cool little app for testing feedback, see how many of your followers actually "follow" your tweets or value your advice etc.

It will cloak links in tweets and give stats.

Great tip Netzen. I would definitely agree that you should not be spammy, people will shut you down fast. Trying to build relationships and slipping in links is the way to go.I find that most people even find it annoying when you DM them with your squeeze page link when they first start following.

I assume since 796 people are following you that you are trying to, or already have, established yourself as an authority figure in whatever niche you have gone after.

If so, then getting them to your squeeze page should not be hard at all. If you have established yourself and given helpful information to your followers, then they should already look up to you - at least the majority of them.

Just send them to your squeeze page, and then give them something in return. Tell them that you want to thank them for being followers of you and have something to give them like a PDF, audio/video recording etc. Make sure that you let them know that the info you will give them is something even better than what you have been sharing up until now, so you only want to give it to your faithful followers and that's why you need their opt-in.

This always works well for me.

the list, and am definitely an authority in my niche. Just trying to become THE authority, and do it in a way so as to not piss off the tweeters, since I'm so new at social media. Thanks again, guys! - RD
