(Resolved) Dispute: @Evatinob v. @creditwala

There is still a chance that @creditwala will contact support and work out what they owe you.

Although they have been banned, there are times people end up doing the right thing after the fact.

Thanks for the hope, but I'm not holding my breath. The way they planned this, I doubt they'll suddenly find a conscience now. Still appreciate you saying it though.

Have you used an crypto exchange to make that transaction? repport the transaction under the crypto exchange . just because is crypto doesnt mean is lost .

Unfortunately sent from my own decentralized wallet, so no exchange to report to.

Just fyi I put up a 'Hire a freelancer' post regarding creating a script. I can make the scripts myself but I wanted to how much it would cost to outsource some of the work using this forum.

Well @creditwala DM'ed me with a quote. He wanted upfront payment for the script, which is understandable since I can just copy it and not pay. I figure it would be fair to send him something upfront, which I did but it was not much at all so I was ok with it. Well he never got back to me and took the money. It was nowhere near what @Evatinob lost here. I thought they were trustworthy because of the jr vip status. Then I realized there was an active dispute on them. By coincidence all of this happened around the time the dispute opened on them so this was defintely intentional.

O well lesson learned, and yeah there was defintely more I could have done on my part but just the JR VIP is a bit misleading, but yeah it does not make BHW look good. Now I am wary to post any 'Hire a freelancer'

Sorry you got caught up in this too. It's sad to see how some people just don't care about the impact they have. They never consider that their victim might be supporting a struggling family, saving for medical bills, or even at a breaking point in their life. I was putting away money bit by bit for months for that car. When you're behind a screen, I guess it's easy to forget the humanity on the other side.

I am really sorry for what happened to you man so hopefully you can recover from it, and best of luck.

I defintely did not lose much at all so its easier for me to deal with it(I was even half expecting it tbh, and adjusted my risk accordingly) but man sorry about your car situation. Again best of luck my guy. Keep fighting.

Sorry to be harsh but why do you send $2500 to a stranger with a payment method that risky ?
I read a lot of these kind of threads and everytime I'm surprised about how little work scammers have to do.
For real, if I was a scammer I would earn $10 000 per month in 5 days.
They do nothing to prove that they are trustworthy, they just advertise a service and you guys are giving them free money every month.
Even when they talk with you they use words like "bro".
Most of these scammers are not even good scammers. A kid could scam you from what I see.
Please stop giving money online to strangers without any way to get it back.

Thanks man, appreciate the kind words. Just gotta dust myself off and keep moving forward. Glad your loss wasn't as significant.

I get where you're coming from, but it wasn't like he just appeared and took my money. We'd been talking on Telegram for about 2 months. I helped him solve technical problems, even helped him sell an account. He gradually built trust.

I don't think he intended to scam initially, but when he couldn't deliver the $25k AWS account, he decided to vanish. I've never been scammed before because I usually do my homework.

What's scary is the dedication - this guy worked for 3 months building credibility and trust. Had the Jr. VIP badge, regular forum activity, helped others. That level of long-con effort is frightening.

Don't think anyone's immune. Even careful people get caught sometimes.

The member lost their money, let's not make it worse and say "If only you did this or that, you would still have your money". I don't see how comments like that help. We have all been taken at one time in our lives and made mistakes; let's not pile on people and make them feel bad about it.

P.S If you don't have anything constructive or helpful, then don't say it. SMH.

I want to publicly thank @uweb3bank for their incredible generosity. They've offered me 15 free VCCs with $2 returnable on each after seeing my situation. This kind of gesture means more than the monetary value - it's a reminder that this community has good people looking out for each other.

The support from everyone here has made this painful lesson a bit easier to handle. Sometimes it's the unexpected kindness that helps you bounce back.

Also huge thanks to @SettingSun77, @BassTrackerBoats, @Mrnewbie and the entire staff team for handling this dispute professionally and efficiently. Your work maintaining the integrity of the marketplace is appreciated more than you know.

I'm sorry to hear that you had to go through that
Luckily, I didn’t get scammed by this person
If it helps, I have a $25 AWS credit code that I can share with you—completely free of charge

I'm genuinely touched by your offer. This community keeps surprising me in the best way.

I need to decline though, as using shared credits might risk your account getting suspended (speaking from experience as an AWS seller).

Funny enough, I just got some good news yesterday from a project I'd almost forgotten about. Things are finally turning around after this mess. I'll be setting up my own AWS credits BST soon ($5k/$10k accounts).

The support here has been humbling. Really appreciate you and everyone who's reached out. Makes the loss a little easier to handle.

This isn’t about transferring credits from one account to another. It’s actually a gift voucher or promotional code.
You simply need to redeem it in your own account to get the $25 credit

Thanks for clarifying, and I really appreciate the gesture. But honestly, I don't feel right taking more help from the community at this point. The support everyone has shown already means the world to me. I'd rather focus on rebuilding through my own efforts now. Really appreciate your generosity though.

uff, trusting newbie account with $2.5k, thats big baller moves

In some countries, such a small effort for a payday like that is quite worth the effort.

JR VIP costs 150/year, just a bit more than 100 posts can't be counted as activity.

What I'm trying to say here is that you should see this coming. He is now on his alt account and making the same offer again.

I'm very sorry for your loss.

This thread has moved on from people being self-righteous and making somebody who has already lost so much feel worse. So don't post in it again, thanks.

Mate, I'm really sorry to hear about your loss. It's honestly hard to understand how people like that can pull off such scams and still sleep at night without any remorse. I truly hope you recover from this soon. That said i genuinely believe you'll come back stronger and you'll make much more than that $2.5K in the long run. It’s a tough and expensive lesson, but sometimes those are the ones that push us forward the most.

Reason wasnt to make anyone feel bad, but to point out obvious so the people reading this might learn from this experience and protect themselves better. Sorry if it sounded bad or made OP feel worse, it wasn't intention. I did learn to be careful by reading dispute threads, so having this as visible as possible could help to protect others.

@BassTrackerBoats @SettingSun77 - Just got a DM from @brkntk who also got scammed by creditwala for 1k USDT for a 10k AWS account. Same pattern, same excuses.

Is it allowed to share any identifying info about scammers here? I have his picture, name and city. Not looking for revenge, but if multiple people keep getting hit by the same person, maybe revealing their identity would make them think twice before scamming again?

Totally understand if forum rules don't allow this. Just frustrated seeing more victims come forward.

Per the rules of this section:

you can call law enforcement and provide that info. if they are from another country from yours, you could contact the authorities in his country

good luck
