    Hello everybody,

Tomorrow the new Air Jordan 1 Retro Royal is coming out. Should I buy it and resell? Will it be profitable?

Chances are you might be able to make a profit but you have to take the risk.

    DO THEY?

If it's a general release it's unlikely you will see value for a while.

If it's a limited edition you won't even get a pair, they will be gone in 5 seconds.

I just bought a paid of 2007 AF1's players edition on ebay, never worn for £110...

The buy must have had them for 10 years and has made £40... Not worth it. It's overplayed and i don't think you will know how much they are worth for a while.

You could probably make some money off them if you get enough pairs and sell them off quick before prices drop and you end up making retail +shipping on them. Make sure you have some interest in your area before you decide to purchase them.

Ebay and FB groups will be flooded with these as usual after the release. Best bet is usually Craigslist if you have them in hand so that you don't have to ship them out

You can make some money reselling certain sneakers if you buy them at MSRP or close to it. I've been doing it to make some extra money. I resell to a popular sneaker consignment shop that marks up the price and takes 20% when your sneakers sell. I net the difference.

For this particular pair, they'll likely resell at this consignment shop for $350-375. They MSRP at $160, so with taxes, they cost me about $175. Consignment shop marks them up to $350-375. Take out their 20% seller fees, and you're left with $280-300. I'm thinking you'll net roughly $105-125/pair, depending on how much the consignment shop sells them for.

If you're in the US and you buy them from a reputable retailer, they usually have 30 day return policies. Nike dot com has a 1 year return policy.

You can sign up for credit cards with large signing bonuses (ex: spend $4k in first 3 months, earn 50k points) and combine it with reselling to earn even more.

I had no idea they were coming out lol. I usually have the worst luck in limited release sneakers like Yeezy's and OVO's. I usually end up buying sneakers second hand after the launch so I don't have to deal with the stress.

I've been averaging about a 17% ROI, roughly $40-50 per pair. It's mostly Air Jordans that I can easily get my hands on and resell fast (sometimes within a few days). Everybody loves Jordans :)

If you're buying from larger online retailers, you can also use cash back portal sites like e-bates. It's usually 1-5% cash back on your purchase total, but retailers like Nike dot com sometimes have up to 8-12% cash back promos.

This method had the demand. But it is only limited to US seller because seller outside US will have difficulties compete with US seller which buy with low price.Outside US seller can only buy from reseller which cost about 320 each pair.
