I have about 13 different domains. I am in business plan right now using the Add-On domain, but would it be as good as if each domain had it's (so-called) own hosting account? Or does it matter?

I guess that really depends what you are using the domains for. But for an easy control i would just stick to one maybe. Hope that helps

I'm having around the same number of domains you have, I'm having each domain on individual account, using reseller hosting. Easier to transfer out if you plan to sell your site.

    Doesn't matter in general .....

I think what you are getting at is 'shared' hosting or 'dedicated' hosting.

Shared hosting is cheap but can have hundreds of other domains on your same
IP number so if any one of those acts up and gets the IP blacklisted ALL of them are blacklisted.

Dedicated is expensive but you only have your own domains on your IP(s) .....
Also possible to add IPs if any go black.

    HTH .... :cool2:

Hmm..Does the reseller accounts have their own IPs? Not sure what you are talking about HTH... All I know is that I have about 13 domains that I am dealing with and I don't want to get all in trouble if ONE acts up...

get a VPS. MUCH cheaper than a dedicated server and the same features as a HG reseller account. google 'vps' and you can find several with cpanel installed for about $20-$50 per month, depending on the options you choose.

An advantage of a VPS is the ability to puchase your own ip's as well having the freedom to do whatever you want ie - host as many domains as you want, mailing, etc..

    good luck.

It doesn't matter you are using addon domains or individual account for hosting. If you go for individual accounts it will be tough to maintain the record of each.
I am also having 9 domains that I've hosted on a single account using addon facility. Its easy to maintain just login and switch between directories.

I've had up to 18 domains on a single account. If you are not cross-linking them you shouldn't have any issues keeping it that way and it is WAY esier to keep track of, like others have said
