Request TWITTER Forum under Social Networking Sites

Hi all!

I thought I would start a thread here and see if there's any interest in requesting the mods or site owner to start a new forum under Social Networking Sites named "Twitter". I've only come back to using Twitter the last few weeks when I realized that there were possible marketing opportunities that I hadn't realized when it first came out.

It seems that there are quite a few posts under the general forum, and that Twitter should have a forum to itself for discussion of ways to exploit it for IM.

After there has been some discussion, if it looks like there is general consensus in favor of it, we can notify the mods directly and through the BHW features request forum and see if they agree.

Cheers! :)

And please vote on the poll. Thx! :)

I'm agree too, If there is forum that talk about how to monetize twitter traffic it would be great, cause I think there's a lot of twitter user here!

I suggest all members giving an "Thanks" to dhamma_man if you are agree to this idea. And if there are more then 100 members agree, I think the admin should consider about this idea. Looking forward to this thread getting more and more members attention.

Thanks for the "Thanks!"(and right back at ya), but I don't think that there have to be any particular number of people that agree, just that its a good idea and that the moderators or owner of BHW choose to start the new forum. I have no idea how difficult doing so might be and this isn't a democracy or anything, but if there is support, then at least the mods might look into the viability.

Cheers! :)

P.S. If you want to talk this up in the lounge or suggestion forums, be my guest. That's where I will probably post next (after the new year) if this thread has any traction. If you do post, you could ref. this thread to show the discussion. Thanks for any assist! :)

I found there are very few posts in Myspace and Facebook section. If adding a Twitter section, I am sure it will have much more posts then myspace and facebook. There are so many people interested in twitter now. And there are lots of tips for twitter.

I am agreed, Twitter for me has worked by far the best for promotion of my site. It would be useful for me to have a twitter section.

Yes I agree guys, I have recently decided to look into using twitter and find that there is a wealth of information on this forum bit it is scattered all over the place. Do we not have access to create a Poll? Is that something which needs to be done by the mods?

I don't think its that big of a deal (Twitter isn't) - its a good social media outlet but its not that big of a deal regardless.

Looking at the first 11 threads in Social Networking Sites Sub-Forums now, there are 5 threads talking about twitter among these 11 threads, about 50% threads talking about twitter here!

I like the idea but getting traffic is so basic i hope the thread is more about how to promote on twitter instead of slapping links up all day.

Yes, I do agree about promotion, but conversion to mullah is really what we need.

I also agree with the need to create a Twitter sub-forum.

As part of an overall strategy Twitter is quite useful -- and to make things work correctly there are many tips and tricks to share.

Having a sub-forum would make it much easier to locate the information.
