    Hello,

I purchased a domain (.net) from Godaddy a few months ago, and just a couple days ago, I started blogging with Blogger. With Blogger, I have a subdomain with them such as, name.blogspot.com. Then I wondered if I can somehow get the purchased domain to be use as the address without forwarding but to no avail. Thus, I had to permanently redirect the .net domain to my blog hosted at Blogger.

So what I'm not sure with is if I wanted to spread the word about my blog through backlinks, referrals, etc, would it be better to link directly to my blogspot sub domain or the .net domain I purchased which permanently redirects to my blogspot site?

The other question I had is for buying a new domain. My old one is not keyword friendly. I don't think it will attract much attention. I want to buy a new one. I could buy 1 through Blogger (blogspot) for around $10 USD, or should I go with namecheap for my new domain purchase?

    This is for adult blogging.

    Thank you,

This is a rather confusing post about someone who is into analysis paralysis.

Piece of advice. The domain is only one aspect of your website. Do not fret about it too much. Who cares if it's blogspot, not keyword rich or a redirect.

Get a site, put content, promote and start earning

Well since you seem to have problems with forwarding issues and what not I would just buy from google through blogger... I know it costs like $10 which isnt bad considering it comes with privacy protection on your whois. If bought through blogger/google the forwarding and everything is set up automatically.

Thank you. I very much appreciate the helpful replies. I'll stick with the same domain for now?add content, promote and rake in the incentives. If I do decide, it will most likely be through blogger/google as whodi suggested. So the last question is, should I backlink to the blogger using the original subdomain given (name.blogspot.com) or spread it by using the bought domain(mydomain.com) that has been permanently forwarded to my subdomain?
