The Moderators are given red color, and the banned members also have the red color. Please change the color of the banned members to gray and keep them away from looking like Mods. :)

Example: Here, a member is banned, but his red color creates confusion with the Moderators' color (Red).

In the second image, the same banned member will stand "out" (as banned/dead membership) from the group, because the banned member has a deathly gray color now...

There's a reason the underwriting is there. BANNED and Moderator are two different words, with different meanings, so there's no confusion there.

Still, a color change would remove any trace of confusion. People normally give more importance automatically to the name (its color including) and less to a byline, especially once they become more seasoned members, imo... they tend to associate a level to a particular color here. Like when you see Blue, it is implied by the brain that the member is a Jr VIP, so goes for a White, or for a Yellow, or... but the red usually means extreme-caution or danger or power :), or in contrast -- an outcast/banned/persona-non-grata... let's keep the Mods color as Red -- meaning extreme power, imo! :)

Anyway you do have a point there. :)

Yeah i know. When i'm scrolling on a thread, soon as i see a red color i stop, because i think a moderator has replied and when i see BANNED i continue scrolling without reading :D

If it was not confusing even a tiny bit, you wouldn't have to stop. It's not a big deal, but it's something that impacts the user experience negatively and OP's suggested change is quite simple and would be effective at least in my opinion.

So it needs more visual simplification, iyo? ;) There is no need to check another line to make doubly sure if the post is by a very valuable member (a Mod), or by a ghosted banned member... then you need to decide whether to stop there and read and think more, or in second case -- move on.... very complicated flow-charting for the poor little brain, so more complications, and a possible blown fuse in between ears as the brain finally protests (not that it happens very often in life or on BHW, hehehe)! lol. Let's move it to the no-tax zone by a simple color change! For the coder, it's just a replacement of the HEX value in just one place (hopefully)... What say? :)

I absolutely agree with OP, he has raised a good point. In my point of view also i think it would be a good idea if banned member color change to grey instead of red. And also no point highlighting a banned member using red color he means no harm or important at all once banned, so grey is more suitable color for banned member.

    Au contraire My Friend,
That BANNED along with the RED only made it even more confusing to me. I would be Like "Wait, I never heard of this Mod" then "Ok, Maybe it's just a BANNED V.i.p"... " Wait, they only have 4 post?"... "Ohhhh OK, He/She must be a BANNED Paid Donor" lol..
Thought I was the only one. Shit was driving me bonkers , Not really, but it is a really good suggestion.
