    Alright members a lil advice please;

    i need to inject more members to my semi-3/4 active forum promoting freebies

    would you say creating "free 2nd hands ps2 due to son's new ps3" posts on cl/gumtree to create a decent email list then mail them freebie offers would work

    or have you any better ideas?

    im welcome to all ideas big or small expensive or cheap

    thanks in advance

    dan

    from my experience, the best way i've grown a forum is to start with a few people...and then build membership over time

    i know it's not what you want to hear, but one of the forums i used to run started getting really popular like a year after i started it. it was a fitness related forum, and i started out with like 10-15 people that i had met from other forums...

    after a year or so, the forum had grown naturally because the 10-15 people brought their friends in and stuff...

    and honestly, for me, i didnt mind this, because after a year or so your forum will have a lot of orignial content from REAL members...i mean, i know you can fill a forum with yahoo answers and crap...but who wants a forum that is basically talking to itself?

    hey mate your on my level;
    im up for thick ticking time bomb stratagy
    and welcome your input as it adds rather than kills my own thoughts
    however nobody want to join a stagnant forum so i multi user add per day to make it feel like a community, im feeling 1-2 month doing this before promoting will be a good thing as it seems more flowing?
