[REQ] Mobile Website for Local Business

Just to add to ukeskuba's post. People arn't generally using mobile web for browsing.
They want strait simple information. Who they are, What they do, How to reach them and
how to contact them.
I am doing extremely well with this although I have expanded and adapted it further to suit the needs of clients and give a more professional site than the methods Matt teaches. For example I have outsourcers create original sites to mirror their original and I
also offer full cms sites.

@norway00x pm'd I've been busy and not reading the board.

Bloody forum lagging out on me!
Can a mod fix that please.

Oxonbeef,

You seem to be well into this and ahead of most.
Could tell me if there is any software available that you can
bild these mobile sites quickly.
Thet are out there as the guy at Mobile Mnop uses one and GoMobi
are advertising theres but releasing it for general use yet.
Also can a mobile website be hosted on your own hosting platform
or does it need to be hosted seperately.
Sorry if they are newbie questions but i would appreciate your help and any course
you may reccomend.
Thanks in advance
sheppo

you can manually build these just by changing the page size to match,
then just follow a basic layout,

so to be giving a little info, short on time.

If you wan't quality sites you are far better off using mobile template from
Code:
http://www.templatemonster.com/mobile-templates.php
or
Code:
http://www.meetemplates.com/6-premium-mobile-templates
And editing them to suit in Dreamweaver or any editor that supports
xml and xhtml or better still write one yourself or outsource it.
Those mobie site things that are popping up everywhere just look cheap
and unproffesional plus you have no or very little control over them.
When you create your own you have control over hosting, ads and content.

anybody have premium mobi templates from meetemplates.com? please share
