I have seen a lot happening here lately, so I thought i would chime in a few words of advice. As we all know, internet marketing is all about reputation, and that is all you have got especially on a forum like this where all people can actually tell about you is who you are HERE.

Keeping your reputation intact shouldn't be that difficult if you are out there with the genuine interest of helping others.

A few pointers to keep it safe :

    - Only promise what you can deliver.

Don't bite more than you can chew . Don't be blinded by greed/desperation into not making sure that you can meet up with your promises. If you do it right once, the next one can only be bigger.

    - Don't be motivated by money ONLY.

Make it your priority that your service/product is solving a problem. Do not for the purpose of enriching your pockets only offer a product/service that will not benefit the users. As we all know, people will always stay near to the source of whatever increases their wealth.

    - Make your asscociation/service/product worth more than the money paid for it.

Give everyone a use value greater than the cash value you are taking from them.
People will always go to where they will get more. So it is only common sense that if you want more business, you should be willing to give more in use value than the cash value you have taken.

    - We are in this together.

Always remember when you started out. How you didn't want to be scammed, how you wanted returns on every penny you invested. Why not do the same for everyone you deal it, why not make this free community a better place by playing your part rightly.

This is our community. Do it right and treat others just the way you want to be treated.

Have you seen the Sh!t lists lately? A lot of reputable members turn out to be scammers.

In the long run, trust no one.

I vote for a sticky to this thread, as we have seen lots of JV scams recently and this thread would really help them, before thinking about any JVs. Particularly I like to see this thread moved to JV section.

Great post! I definitely need to remember this:

When doing business online all you have is your reputation

I hate to point this out, but your last point is naieve, wishful thinking, and why "in a perfect world" etc etc would be nice - it's an attitude that will not help you, indeed will get you into trouble.

I hate to be the evil mean person to point this out, but that point would be better replaced with "we are all in this alone, for ourselves. At the end of the day everyone's here to make their own buck. Sure, treat others how you would like to be treated, play nice and hope it's reciprocated - but walk softly while carrying a big stick".

    Just sayin'.
